Almost every step of progress in human history cannot leave with the new blood injecting to the profession, so as those leaders in power. Then the issue rises, whether the leader should step down after several yeas, say five? As far as I am concerned, in different kind of profession, including business and politics, the question should be analyzed case-by-case as following.

To being with, in many cases, especially politics and government, I agree with the speaker that those in power should step down for several years. One the one hand, the leaders may tend to abuse their powers when they have no fear of losing it. Take the first emperor of ancient Dynasty Qin in China as an example. His feat of uniting country cannot be erased, however, in his later life ruling the country, he abused the power to do anything he wanted, whose country only has been lasted for less than fifty years in history. The great success, fame, super power, and respect from subordinates will seduce an initial wise and cool-headed leader.

On the other hand, not every person is perfect, so as the leader, no matter how great he or she is. The society is developing in a rapid space, so that few of leaders are able to keep his or her performance of laddering in the best situation. Therefore, letting others replace seems the best way to keep a country continually progressing. A good example is the Gorge Washington, the commander of American Revolution and the first president of United States. He refused to run for the third term of president, yet this decision give him more esteem from the whole country and he became a symbol of America Virtue. Since the newly emerged leader can better catch up with the changing time and adapt to new condition, they are superior to the older in this aspect.

Moreover, the new leader always can bring new ways of thinking and managing to the certain business, which is essential to maintain the revitalization of country. From some sense, the America today's prosperity cannot leave with the efforts from every president in the past. Now the America is meet a big challenge of the financial depression. But with the coming of new president, Obama, we are full with confidence that he can guide the country as well as the world going out of this crisis. Also, it is the competition that simulates the whole world running. Thus, the proper mechanisms might also activate the young men to work more hard, since they see the choice and hope to be a leader.

However, on the other side, frequently changing the leader may bring some problems, notably in the business area. In the private profession, it might not be so necessary to limited the term of leadership. New leader often lack experience and skills that cannot competence the new laddering work all the time. In the business field, an apt example is the Bill Gates, who is the boss of Microsoft Company. Few of people are able to compare with his talent and intelligence, so Bill’s work cannot be easily replaced by anyone else. Someone make a joke that the world has only one Bill Gates, without his leading for so many years, the operation system never been into everyone's life.

To sum up, as for a politician, whose leadership referring to the whole country and its people, it is a good idea for those in power to step down after several years, like five; however, in the business profession, it is not necessary to do, especially in the case that the company is created by the leader oneself.
