GRADUATE-STUDY OPPORTUNITIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA, CANADA
FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH A BACKGROUND IN ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER ENGINEERING
OR COMPUTER SCIENCE (STARTING SEPTEMBER 2009)

I am seeking new graduate students who would be able to commence their
studies in September 2009 and are interested in research in the
following (and related) areas:
    * image, video, and audio signal processing, especially image compression
    * geometric-based image compression methods and algorithms
    * efficient software-based implementations of signal processing algorithms
    * wavelets, filter banks, and multiresolution/multirate signal processing
