Entry requirements:

Master, Grad Dip, Grad Cert:

Bachelor degree majoring in humanities or social science,or equivalent.Candidates who have satisfied the requirements for Graduate Certificate may apply to upgrade to the Graudate Diploma,and candidates for Graudate Diploma may apply to upgrade to the Master degree,provided their results are of sufficient merit.

Master of Letters:

Bachelor degree with major in humanities or social sciences at Distinction level,or equivalent.Candidates for the Master degree may apply to upgrade to the Mlitt if they achieve Distinction level results.


我现在已经得到了这个专业的master的conditional offer，master by coursework的，只要雅思过了，就可以去上学了，但是我本科是理工科的，准备了一些国内教授的推荐信和work reference强申的，我今后的目标是将来去美国上humanities or social science的博士，所以我很想upgrade 到 Master of letters，我想请问，根据上面的提示，我是应该考过雅思firm offer下来了之后就申请upgrade呢？还是上了半年成绩达到distinction再申请？上面那一段说中的"may apply to the Mlitt if they achieve Distinction level results"中的distinction level是指的本科成绩还是master成绩？

还有如果我在入学前升级为master of letter是不是就可以申请research的奖学金了？
