I fundamentally agree with the propositionthat education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed tomeet the individual needs and interests of each student,which can motivate the students'interest and desire of study. Nevertheless, I would caution that extending theproposition too far may risk undermining those objectives.
First of all, we need to figure out thereal meaning of effective education. As is known to all of us, the main purposeof education is to help students to understand the world, get them to have a basicknowledge of how to living normally and have a skill to make living. In myview, the effective education is the education that helps the student to makethe best of the resources available to achieve this goal. In order to evaluatethe efficiency, the students and the teacher need to spare it more time andenergy.
If education is specially designed to meetthe individual needs and interests of each student and it is done very well, itwill be truly effective. It surely needs the teachers to spend on the educationmore time and energy in order to make the education well designed. What’s more,the students can also find their needs and interests from their study, whichcan appeal the students to be addicted to studying and learning. Thus, thestudents’ time and energy spent on education also increased. So, we can see theteachers’ designation of education is of great importance on the evaluation ofthe education efficiency.
The designation is difficult to make ofcause. If the teachers construct it just on the basis of the students’interests, the purpose the education could be probably left one-side, becausethe students are more interested in the fashionable objects which have littleuse to or even have bad influence on the future of students, such as thepopular music, the pursuit of the stars. These may make the students excitedfor the present, but have little value for the students to understand where hecomes or such big problems.
If the teachers just construct it accordingto the purpose, however, the students will have little interests on it. Andthen they spend on learning less time, probably the efficiency of education cango down. In conclusion, the most efficient education needs to construct theeducation designation both based on the purpose and the interests of thestudents. And only by doing this, can we ensure the energy spent on educationby the teachers and students and so enhance the efficiency.
