By immortal artistic creation, artistics alter the world. At the same time, all critics announce their opinions, debate, argue, and finally cease with accordance after centuries. They make the indeed value of the works revealed to the society, but not directly influencing the world. Thus, I fundamentally agree with the notion of the author.

What is actually making the society different? Myriad of answers might appear. In the social level, finance, language, lots plays crucial role. In the personal level, however, art may be the most important factor, to imbue us with aesthetic notion, to cultivate the spectation of truth, kindness, and beauty. Thousands of years have gone by,  in both the view of modern or ex-modern art, the art outweighs other factors on the function of shaping the human`s heart. In short, art contributes the society with an immortal value.

Valuable as it seems, art would not be accepted by the ignorant mass, for the beauty is not conveyed that directly. In the end, have the ostensible works without being picked out of the dumps after the death of the artist, they might entirely possible fade out of the world and never be seen. What`s terrible is that, ountless perfect works have been missing in the historical experience, while the majority of which we cannot name. Without the critics rising the public`s attention, the preservation of the works is never in the schedule of the society. Expect other factors such as political inference, natural disasters tearing up the works, the critics could be named as the protecters of the art. An art form or work under discussion, is far superior than the one without any mention of the critics, both from the perspecive of protection and the revealing of its aesthetic beauty. So critics, as the art develops, provide the protection and redefine the value of the art, which make it "lasting".

View the critics case in a historical perspective, they are always showing positive effect. In a short period of history, however, the critics may not always showing the indeed value of the work. Take a grand illusion would reveal us the fact: in the Dark Age throughout the western Europe, no one would deny the Christianity preserved the culture from the barbarian`s hands. In the thousand of years, religional works are widely created. With Luther King and his famous campaign appeared, the value of the Middle-Age-works are to be questioned. While most of the works still embrace the compliment, disadvantages of the religional art form are gradually known by the public. Critics, are the very people both hide and reveal the disadvantages, in the different propelling force of the society. Meanwhile, the art itself is immortal, for the artists are pursuing aesthetic satisfaction and a lasting value.

Overall, without mentioning the art, one cannot embrace the human culture. In the process of recognizing the beauty of the world, art, as the treasure of the artists and the human being, is always where major attention paid to. But meanwhile, it is the critics who rise the fame of the art works--no matter in the form of controversies or compliment with accordance--and in the end ensures the value be regarded by the public.
