When study whether us humans should make efforts to save endangered species, we should first seek about the reason for the extinction. From this aspect, we should take responsibility upon those species loss caused by human intentional interference. And of course, we should also obey the natural circulation when some species become endangered for innate deficiency. Keeping a reasonable balance in time and energy would be helpful in the saving mission.

As we know, many species have disappeared from earth long before the existence of human beings which is because of the innate deficiencies in competing with other creatures. We can see that the Darwinian Theory which proposed a so-called "natural selection" ---those stronger species succeed to survive and had their offspring while the weaker ones did not. The whole process is natural.

However, the causes of extinction of animals are not only limited in geological changes which is not conducted by human beings. Modernization, industrialization, urbanization have resulted in several environmental problems which have done a lot of harm upon other species. To be specific, the waste pulled by family and heavy industry, the harmful gas emission by automobiles, the abuse use of forest resources, are changing the overall condition of the eco-system. Several surveys have been conducted by colleges and government indicated that over 200 species have been extinct from earth since 1600s. From this point of view, we have such duty to make efforts to save endangered species. In addition, as technology has developed fast nowadays, we are able to find ways to save them, and morally, we have responsibility to save them conscientiously.

The other reason we have to make efforts to save endangered species lies in the situation that the extinction of other species may cause the extinction of us human beings. Some people may think that is a totally absurd assumption. However, the eco-system is a complex matrix with interdependent relations. Scientists have convincing proof based on which they can predict this could happen if the environment becomes more astray and the breakdown of eco-balance will happen as well. As a matter of fact, we human beings should take measures to save ourselves.

On the other hand, if we take Darwinian argument again into consideration, human beings are also a species in nature. If the extinction of another certain species will make us more fit in nature, or survive through time, the sacrifice is worth it. Human beings are also one element in the chain of nature.

Again, is there no justification for society to make extraordinary efforts to save endangered species? The more accurate answer can be---we can make part of the efforts to save endangered species whose extinction is caused by the human interference in the healthy habitat where they live and survive. The suggestions offered is to save those species on a reasonable basis which doesn't recommend unlimited use of money and resources that can be contributed to the moving- forward and prosperous of the whole society.
