Advertisement
Nowadays, everyone knows that if he wants his products have a good sell, he must spend large parts of his money and time on advertisement. But, we also know that advertisement can not completely show the real products, and sometimes it even misleads customer to buy useless things. So some say that advertisement is a waster of money and time, because people know what they really want to buy. In my opinion, this view is not very right for advertisement has some positive effects on us too, I will elaborate two of them.
First, we really need advertisement to help us to choose what we need to buy. We can get many information about many new commodities which may really improve our live from advertisement. The world is changing fast, for a lot of better and better new things emerge day and night. How can we know these changes, like more powerful and cheaper car, more convenient washing machine and so on? Without advertisement, we must to consult large mount of dull product references. Thanks to advertisement, we learn how we can improve our live by various funny ways. For example, I saw a advertisement of the web of Youtube when I was playing Online Games by chance. I felt it might be a funny web, so I tried it, and then loved it. Youtube gives me a lot of pleasure in my life. Without the advertisement, I may loss this pleasure in my life.
Second, advertisement can help to optimize marketing. Advertisement can intensify the competition among producers, so it can prompt the quality of commodities. For example, if company A develops a new better commodity, and shows the advertisement of it to customers. Then, customers of company B will change to buy commodity of company A, for the advertisement informs them which commodity is the best one currently. Suppose that company A refuses to spend money on the ads of new product, so customers of company B will not know the new better thing and buy it, and company B will never prompt their products, for the new product of company A don't impact on him.
In summary, although advertisement is probably inaccurate sometimes, it is useful for us. We can not live without the advertisements. |
