The author maintains that the real emphasis should be put on are those group of people whose names are forgotten rather than individuals. Whether putting more emphasis on individual or groups is disputative issue up to now. However, I disagree with the speaker’s claim that we have put much focus on those famous few. In my point of view, we should put the same emphasis on individual and the groups of people whose names been forgotten.

Admittedly, dating back to several years ago, we did put more emphasis on individuals, but that is not on purpose. People who cite the history events and trends probably just motivate us to remember the cases themselves. For example, when in primary and high school, there is no denying that those famous individuals are frequently appeared in our textbook. We are more easily acquainted by those heroes who took part in a fierce battle, some of them survived, while some of them sacrificed during the war. By agglomerating all the soldiers’ power, we ultimately won the war. Undeniably, groups of people whose identities been forgotten have made significant contributions to the final success. So we are not taught or instructed that just remember famous few, while forgotten unidentified.

However, famous individuals deserve our much emphasis rested on these are the typical examples or the big pots in the historical events. The fewer groups of people perhaps are playing pivotal roles during the events, such as astronauts-Neil Armstrong and other two who were the first group of people touching the moon surface. Can we forget them, especially the achievement they made for the whole human civilization many years before? The answer is definitely not. In a matter of fact, such historical people should be put much emphasis on in order to remember the great moment.

Thirdly, forgetting those influencing the historical events silently is not tolerant for us. Attributing the magnificent achievement to the fewer famous is totally unfair for those working quietly behind the history stage. We should place the same emphasis between individuals and the groups.

To sum up, in terms of how to balance the proportion, depends on many complex factors. In the final analysis, at a point when it becomes critical for our decedents, should take a serious consideration in a more comprehensive way. When we are talking about the historical persons, not only the fewer famous talking about, but also the groups of unidentified should be mentioned at the same time.
