10月2日的作业

To solve the problems present and future isit necessary to understand the past?

Problems are always occurred under thecertain circumstances，such as we will never consider how to solve the flood in Saharadesert, and we also never complained the global warming in the 18th century.Thus many, holding the opinion that to solve the problems present and futurejust need to concern the certain condition we meet at certain times, claim thatit is necessary to understand the past. However, in my opinion, to understandthe past is quite crucial to solve the problem present and future.

To begin with, the situation in the pastmay be the direct or the indirect reason leading to the present or the futureproblem. Every thing develops continuously so that the past is inevitablyrelated with the present and the future. When solving the problems present andfuture, taking the past into consideration can accelerate to come up with thesolutions. For example, even though people never complained about the globalwarming in the 18th century, when solving this problem, we have to be familiarwith the history of the industrialization revolution during that time which canhelp us understand the reason and development of global warming today moreseriously and deeply.

Besides, the past may provide some valuableexperience to solve the problems present and future. From beginning of learningto make tools till now, we human beings always make progress during learningand summarizing the experience of the former people, so to understand the pastis quite necessary. Even though we've never met such an awful earthquake likein Sichuanbefore 2008, the experience of recurring the people and rebuilding the citiesafter Tang Shan earthquake can solve quite a lot of present problems as well asavoid a lot of unnecessary troubles. We should cherish the past valuableexperience.

In a conclusion, as a Chinese emperor LiShimin ever said, we can know about what we've got or lost on the comparisonwith the past history. The past not only may illustrate the reason of theproblems but also can be helpful to solve the problems present and future,
