★★★130T "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.

A better society is one whose members live harmoniously with each other as well as compete fiercely with each other. As a result, socialization, which is defined as the ability to cooperate with others, is insufficient for the prosperity of the society, which is also determined by its members’ diversity of personalities as well as the capability of innovating.

Socialization can cultivate children the willing and ability to cooperate with others. Since everyone cannot be excluded from the society, his/her work and everyday life are inevitably interrelated with others members.
Gone are the days when we can fulfill a task all by ourselves, we are now, in effect, relegated into cogs of the social machines, regardless of whether we are luminaries or ordinary people. Furniture are no longer made by the carpenter alone, designing and sawing, they are now projected by the stylists and then shaped in the factories by workers and specifically designed machines; mechanics engineers are not able to invent a machine without the assistance of electronic engineers. Therefore, it has become significant for our children to become well socialized so that they can adapt to the increasing complex and interrelated relationships in the society.

However, socialization of our children is only one factor that can influence the prosperity of a society. Of equal importance is cultivating them the capability of innovating, which serves as the impetus for the progress of the society. History tells us too well that every step we stride is the result of innovation. Hadn’t Galileo challenged the authority that the sun lies at the center of the universe, people may still live under the illusion that everything revolves around the earth; also, hadn’t Darwin put forward the theories of evolution and nature selection, human beings are the most superior creatures created by the God. Therefore, we should also instruct our children critical thinking skills so that they can break the catenation of the outdated tradition rooted in people’s mind.

Moreover, if undue emphasis is placed on socialization of our children, they would lack the distinctive personalities and characteristics than differ them from others in order to carter for the trends of the society. This is especially true in the political field, consider that if adulation has become the ethos among the politician, a “well socialized” children would have no trouble adapting such customs, making them successful in the political field. Thus in spite of our children’s personal success in the political field, the society on the whole will fall victims of the ethos since it would only result in bureaucracy and even corruption in the officialdom. In short, the effects of undue socialization are counterproductive, which will eliminate the individualities of out children.

In conclusion, important as socialization is to form a better society, undue socialization would ossify the ethos of the society. In addition, we should not only teach out children to adapt to the society but transform it into a better one.

你首先给了社会化一个定义 但是这个定义看起来并不十分准确啊  社会化就是合作吗 有点片面啊 这样不利于你展开说理啊  下面的反证什么的说的挺好 我觉得4分还行 5 分是肯定不行了
