关于签证被check后补材料的问题

我7月8号签证被check，今日收到要求补材料的邮件，我的专业比较敏感，是微电子下器件方向的。


今日收到补材料的邮件，内容如下：
Dear Applicant:

For your visa application, please provide a letter from your U.S. advisor that contains the following details:

1.)        Describes your research goals and any practical applications.
2.)        States sources and amount of any U.S. government money/or funding from U.S. corporations assisting the U.S. government.
3.)        Confirms that no export-controlled technology and/or information will be shared.

Please send us the document needed through e-mail attachment or by fax # 010-8531-3355 within 25 days of this e-mail notification and write your case number ********on top of the page.

请问这种情况是否常见？补交材料需要注意什么？我导师很多项目都是由美国能源部和国防部赞助的，如果项目资金来源与美国政府有关的话会不会有影响？

这个材料需要导师来递交，如果我跟导师说请他在材料中删去一些敏感的东西，这种做法是否恰当？老师会不会觉得我在教他做事而不爽？

you have to submit those materials as required
1  your study plan
there maybe some infulence
but just provide envidence that you won't leak any technology and/or information

你好，我收到的邮件和你一样，想请问你下你补充完材料后多久clear 的？
PS. 我7月28被check，当时说要check四周，8月20把要的材料补交了，现在还没结果。
