TOPIC: ISSUE208 - "The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people."

In our daily life, one who always wear in color was regard as a vivid man and easy to talk. I agree that people's attitudes and interests can be reflected by the way they look, dress, and act. However, when it comes to the notion that we can know the society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people, I strongly disagree with it, for it is hard to get a all-rounded judgement in today's multiple cluture society.

From the begining, one's cloth and behaviors act as a key in knowing a person. A man who wears a tie seems value his porfession very much and a girl dressed in a expensive dress always be treated nice. Anyway, people use clothing and other decorations to show their character as well as attitude. I tend to dress in red to reavl my passionate and indicate I would like to help others, and my T-shirt implies I was a college student and not in work. Moreover, we often judge a man by his act rather than his words, that is, we think one's act totally reflected his attitude. Companys like its emplyees do work effeicently, and the director require the interviewer to judge the behavior of interviewees to decide whether he or she is the person they need. Although a employee's ability cannot be domonstrated untill he had worked for one or two months, the experienced interviewer can always make a basic judgement on the interviewee for his or her appearence and behavior.

However, when it somes to the question whether people's clothing and behaviors can reflect a society's ideas and values, I cannot agree with the speaker any more. In fact, the society has long been lost a homogenous culture. And any people in this society represent his or her own community's or group's idea and attitude instead of the society as a whole. We wear our school uniform to show I was the student of the school, and seneirs take part in every Friday's finshing to indicate they belong to a certain group. Someone who clamor for the speaker's assertion will cite examples as the woman in Arab still dressed the clothes which reavels little of their face, which indicates the the society value less of woman. They are only few exceptions. In today's America, we can easily find a person who is African American; or a person who is a youngster form south, judging by his appearence or acts. But it is totally difficult to identify two man in a group who totally represent the American spirit but the other doesn't.

Finally, some value of society can only be undrstaned by living with it, not simply picking out from people's appearance and behaviors. For example, Americans value the authority of law, which is hardly seen from dressing or act unless we live in the country and concerning about the news report or experiencing a real case. Thus, appearance and behavior has limited utilize in understanding the over all values and ideas of a society.

In sum, we can judge a man by his dress and act and in turn, know some thing of his groups. However, to understand a society's ideas and values through the observation of people's appearance and behaviors is even harder, for or it is difficult to get a overall scenatio, instead, we should use other means to have a all-rounded judgement.

(面试的例子举得很不错)

楼主文章的逻辑结构非常清晰,每一段的例子也很有说服力,但是语言方面还是要加强,语法错误和单词拼写错误比较严重,加油!
