I do agree with the speaker with that the study has value to our daily life. However does the study of history have value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily life?
I hold the opinion that it must contain value which beyond our daily life.

One reason for me to agree with the study of history have value to our daily life is that history often is regarded as a guiding of our life. We get to understand the condition we are currently in through the study of history. As from the very long before our precedents may record their experiences and lessons they suffer from the fight and the book passed down one generation by generation to prevent us never suffer the same failure as our precedents. Take Chinese famous ancient writer Sun Teri’s work The Art Of War as an example, it have a great influence on our current life. Not use it in the war realm, it often seen to be made use of in the business realm as a strategy guide. Refer to the strategies mentioned in the book we can mostly achieve a benefit in the trade.

Another reason for me to admit the part of the author's point is that the study of history is frequently acted as the basement of the development of our scientific realm. Take architecture as an example, the study of ancient architecture is usually concerned to be a compulsory subject in this realm. We may use no wooden/stone frame any longer, however we may learn from the how the frame can carry the building, if there is any flaws in this kind of frame, and what we can do to improve it. Only through these series of study can we involve it into nowadays more safe and stable of brick or steel one.

Holding the opinion that the study of history to our daily life, I nonetheless in the view that there may exist some value beyond our daily life. The study of history not merely has value when it is relevant to our daily life, we may some facts that we do study history just have value for human life. It is always considered that we human is on duty to guard the whole earth, so we also study the history of other species, even the nature's history is under our study list. How can you deny these importances of study of the nature's history? As diversity is very important to our ecology, what’s more all species in the global are equal to each other.

To sum up, the study has a vital meaning to the extent that it is relevant to our daily life. But we can have the assumption for it is meaningless when it comes to other realm. We can never deny the history always have value just beyond our daily life, and which may contains more necessity for the study of history.
