题目:ISSUE 51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

As the speaker suggests, education will be effective when it means to meet the individual needs and interests. However, to overemphasis on individual is neither feasible nor recommendable, and absolutely not the essence of education.

One can not deny the significance of individual development, thus education should provide the space and assistance for each students. After all, it is only when a person is driven by his/her ideal or dream can one make a meaningful and lasting pursuit in his path for success. In addition, everyone was born different, unconditional request for anyone to become the one expected by others will not only quell ones interests, but also destruct life's integrity. More importantly, the soft power of a nation's development---innovation---depends largely on the sparks of thoughts of individuals.

Despite the benefits mentioned, education can not possibly reach or even should not reach everyone to satisfy his/her interests and request. To say the least of it, with so large a population and so limited educational faculty and facilities, it is impossible to assign each student a private tutor, or just think about what else can these resources can be arranged to and you will find what a waste will the recommendation be. In fact, no such a place ever exists in society, and such deeds would merely contribute to the frail psyche of students and obstacle their further development in society.

When asking the question whether education should attempt to meet each student's interests and needs, one shall pinpoint the very essence of education: not to pander for individuals, but to lead them to discover inside their own interests and make the best of resources available, or, even create the opportunity for their dreams by themselves. Here comes the lasting meaning of elementary education---broadening the children's scopes so that they make a truly and over-all understanding of themselves and perceive their very interests. To allow further development of individual, schools and other educational institutions should provide certain kinds of felicities, such as open-to-all experimental labs and libraries; also, certain programs like constantly invitation of personages to give speeches or motivation of students to take part in sundry projects.

Without consideration of individuals' needs as well as affects to boost their own development, our worlds will be a dull place to live in, while undue emphasis on individuals will make people lack the sense of tolerance, certainly not true with education's purpose.

(可以把第三部分的interests一些相关观点拿来解决一下既然不能保证每个人的interests,那么可以发展他们培养interest

LZ的语言我就不说什么了,好!
而且前面两部分,逻辑思路十分清晰,层层深入,一句废话都没有,我觉得比一般的长篇大论舒服,说理很厉害。但是我也有点担心,是不是有点单薄了点,毕竟都是道理(纯属个人之见)
最后一部分是不是说要教育的目的不在satisfy 所有学生的interest而是其他?觉得适当提一提effective 因为你这相当于在反对题目中的only 你这样子讨论很强大,但是我觉得往题目上凑好一点。
