The author of this argument claims that Adams Realty is a better choice for selling homes than Fitch. To support this claim the author cites that Adams has 45 real estate agent compared with 25 part-time workers in Fitch, and Adams’ revenue was higher than that of Fitch with a higher average sales. The author also point out anecdotal evidence involving his own judgment with Fitch and Adams. However, the author's argument relies on a series of unsubstantiated assumptions, and is therefore unpersuasive as it stands.

Firstly, the author assumes that the more workers a company has, the more excellent it is with no convincing evidence . Adams’ advantage in numbers of staff could not be considered that its efficiency and capacity are both competitive .May be all the agents in Fitch is capable and professional enough to accomplish their jobs
in a shot time
so they choose to search other works to earn more salary. If so, the agents of Fitch will offer a better grade though they work only part-time.


A second problem with the argument is that we not informed that how many homes the two companies sold last year. ,and that whether the homes sold by them are same in sort .It is entirely possible that the Adams did good jobs in those luxury homes that be furnished with
Expensive furniture or located in a zone with a fine circumstance but failed to sell mostly ordinary homes. Due to the high prices of luxury homes’ selling , Adams’ revenue last year was twice as high as that of Fitch, and also included more average sales. So the author’s conclusion is groundless without considering all the possible factors.

Moreover, for additional support the author point out that Adams spent less time in selling his homes last year than Fitch did ten years ago. However, this disparity is explainable by other plausible factors ,such as changing economic conditions during the ten years period, or a increase of citizens’ desire of homes. Without ruling out of the other factors affecting the efficiency of a sale, the author cannot rely on this limited evidence to support his claim

In the final analysis, the claim of author is not well supported .To strengthen it the author must provide detailed evidence showing that Adams sell all kinds of homes quickly and at a good price.We also need the information that Adams have the advantage
not only
in the number of workers but also in capacity of them.
