Isuue17. "There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."
(有两种法律:公正的和不公正的。每个社会成员都有责任遵守公正的法律,但是更重要的是,更应该不遵守和反抗不公正的法律。)

One of the most important functions is to protect people proper rights, ensure people’s safety, keep the stability of society and in the end promote improvement of the world. Any civilized society must acquire laws and rules to regular citizens’ behavior. Since law is equal to everybody, every person should have responsibility to obey justice laws. Without laws, there will be chaos of society and there will be no things, except morality, that can regulate people’s behavior. It will no doubly lead to anarchy. However, when comes to injustice laws, people should refuse to accept it and have duty to make it repealed.

When comes to just laws, we should make it clear about what just or fair is. Whether a law is fair depends on whether a certain person or a certain group could be benefit from it. If they can benefit from the law, then it is just to them; vise versa. For example, the anti-dumping agreement that is carried out in some countries, which think it is a fair play, because they can protect some national manufactures that are weak or some fundamental business. But for those dumping countries, it is not so fair in that their benefits are invaded. So there are controversy about it in the world wide. Another example, some air-line companies stated that to obese people should buy tickets twice than the usual price, according to the benefits of the company. However, this is unfair for adipose person, which makes them being discriminated. So due to strong subjective factors, it is not an easy task to give a perfect definition of just laws.

However, most laws are codification of the society’s values, beliefs and morals, they’re generally based on the notion of justice and fair play. To my country, China, the privilege policy for minority ethnic groups seems unfair to the Han ethnic group. But to the broad extent, it is a significant policy in such a huge country to keep its stability and promote the development. It is not only the minority benefits from the policy, but it is extremely good for the whole country. Another, take the rules of income taxation for instance. Famous artists always have far higher income than the common careers. But because of the income taxation rules, that he higher you got the more tax you should pay. So this makes fairness in different income levels. In short, it is justice laws that try to find a balance among various events.

Admittedly, laws are always hysteretic of the pace of development of society. It is quite often a false is recognized after some events happened. In front of those unjust laws, people should refuse to obey them, but it is unnecessary to apply extreme behaviors or radical actions. Negotiation could be useful in most of the time in today’s civilized society. For example, in some places, there are unjust laws which are aimed to protect particular officials private profits. Citizens should refuse to execute them, and through exposure of media and newspaper and so forth, people could annihilate those unfairness.

In summary, to assess whether a law is just or unjust, benefits of a certain person or a group and some other subjective factors should take into account. Every citizen has responsibility to abide by just laws, and also has duty to resist unjust ones and make efforts to repeal them. When unjust laws appeared, governments and the mass should work corporately to annihilate them, and to establish a fair legal system, which can lead to the bright future of the world.

One of the most important functions (of law) is to protect people (people’s) proper rights, ensure people’s safety, keep the stability of society and in the end promote improvement of the world. Any civilized society must(似乎可以不用) acquire laws and rules to regular citizens’ behavior. Since law is equal to everybody, every person should have responsibility to obey justice laws. Without laws, there will be chaos of society and there will be no things, (nothing) except morality, that can regulate people’s behavior.(用道德规范怎么了呢?作者这里没论述清楚) It will no doubly lead to anarchy. However, when comes to injustice laws, people should refuse to accept it and have duty to make it repealed. (态度还算清晰,但作者似乎最好能用句话整体概括下比较好)

When comes to just laws, we should make it clear about what just or fair is. Whether a law is fair depends on whether a certain person or a certain group could be benefit from it. (说的实在,但有点偏激)If they can benefit from the law, then it is just to them; vise versa. (关于是否公正的论述没必要做这么多辩证的论述吧~似乎有点偏题了~)

Admittedly, laws are always hysteretic of the pace of development of society. It is quite often a false is recognized after some events happened. In front of those unjust laws, people should refuse to obey them, but it is unnecessary to apply extreme behaviors or radical actions.(作者的观点仍然很含糊啊) Negotiation could be useful in most of the time in today’s civilized society. For example, in some places, there are unjust laws which are aimed to protect particular officials private profits. Citizens should refuse to execute them, and through exposure of media and newspaper and so forth, people could (用should比较好,语气坚定一点)annihilate those unfairness.
