Issue51 "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

Whether education should be designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student is a long term disputed question and has no quick answer. But in my opinion, education will be more effective when it is designed to meet the requirement of majority of students rather than the individual needs and interests, due to the limitation of educational resources and the intrinsic nature of education itself.

Admittedly, the student oriented education could cater each single student’s personal talent and interest, and therefore arise one’s potential to the greatest extent and will lead every student to the topmost height he or she could achieve, since interest is the best teacher, as old saying goes. However, when it comes to the overall efficiency of entire education, we can hardly believe that mode can be a wise access especially after considering the feasibility of one to one educational method in frond of present shortage of education resources. The efficiency of education comes mainly from its generalization of both teachers and students, when the students receive the biggest progress as whole under adequately utilization of teachers and other resources.

Further more, over-specified education will narrow down students’ ken and capability of acclimation to future career. At school age, nearly everyone is still in lack of self-responsible ability, full development of personal interests and subsequently the capacity to dicide and choose his or her direction of learning. Specify the realms students study on too early will undoubtly lead to the result that at least part of they may precede on a seemingly suitable but acctually partially or totally wrong way. Even if each student finds out where his or her true love and talence lies at the very beginning, they also need to know something else in other fields, which could make them comprehensive and adaptable. In mordern times, more and more occupations call for across-subject knowledges, so we had better learn all-around subjects in school to enhance the capability of acclimation to future career.

In addition, to make up the disadvantages of general education, schools can offer some specifically designed subjects to students to satisfy individual needs and enhance interests of students. For instance, schools could require all students to study several basic subjects such as mathematics and literature, then set a variety of some other alternative curriculums such as music and calligraphy as a significant complementarity.

In summary, the design of education as a combination of compulsory and alternative courses can cater the needs of majority and therefore achieve more efficient educational effect.

你的文章的观点还是不错的,最后你提出的设置可选择的科目的想法也很好,既保证了义务教育的需要,有弥补了对兴趣的培养.
不足的是语言上似乎倾向于使用and therefore, 感觉出现的次数太多,下次可以换其他的,还有这里的and有时似乎可以去掉的
我的语言基础很差的,若有说的不对的,我们再讨论下
