Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? A zoo has no useful purpose. Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.

  A zoo is a garden or park where birds, fishes, mammals or other animals are fed timely and regulated orderly and kept for public display. There are numerous zoos in this planet, each with unique species, such as panda in China, a bald hawk of U.S.A, and a kangaroo that represents Australia. On personal level, I hold the attitude that the aim of building a zoo is reasonable for the reason that it benefits for animal protection, providing a place for family to fun, and also cultivate our children to make a sense of caring others.

  Primarily, zoo is a place where animals could live safety and keep healthy. With prepared food which contains necessary nutrition for their growth, animals in zoo will never need to worry about their meals; less to say they would like their wild companies who are still running a risk of starving to death. What’s more, once they feel uncomfortable in body, doctors, who specialize on animal illness, would arrive at the right moment. It goes without saying that zoo make it accessible for animals to live a better life than ever before. It can effectively protect animal from being extinct. In addition, if we take the idea further, the money that a zoo profits would properly feed back on the spending of animal protection.

  Again, a zoo is usually a favorite place for entertainment of family members. Imagine that a family composed with father, mother and their child would have great fun when they see a animal family live harmony in zoo, bathing in sun shine, playing with each other without any disturbance. Also, it is the zoo that supports the family to have a chance to close the nature such as hearing a song of singing birds, watching fishes swimming freely in a lucid river or seeing a busy bee fly among flowers. Definitely, zoo, will relaxing family after arduous day, and adding color to family’s daily life, exerts an important positive influence on them.

  At last, zoo, rather than any other places, can better arouse enthusiasm of children to make sense of taking care of others. Child is known sensitive to the environment which they involved in. It is true that children will be cultivated this sense when they are trying to feed on a small animal or touch smoothly them by their own hands, especially, when children are received a friendly feedback from animals, they are enjoyed and at the same time they might also start to catch the fun of caring others.

  All in all, although animals in zoo might have less freedom than those who live wildly, if all these factors are contemplated, the advantages of setting a zoo carry more weights.Thus, from what has been discussed above, I strongly and sincerely support that the use of zoo is great and obvious

Everything has its value to exist, so does the zoo.In my opinion, zoo is the essential part of a city and it has several useful functions.

To begin with,it serves as a kind of entainment for the people living in the city. With the faster pace of work from Monday to Friday ,people need to relax themselves. It is a good choice to visit the zoo in weekend with the whole family, enjoying the funs of staying with various of animals,with the birds singing, the squirrel dacing. A zoo nearby allows visiters to unload their burdens and have a easy day.

Secondly,a zoo is like a museum,it tells you stories happened in the world of animals. Out of zoo,one could not find a place where he/her can observe animals like tiger in such a short distance. You can learn lots of knowledge if you have enough interests .How does panda wash face? How bear hibernates?Such interesting questions will be good answered in zoo.

Finally, each animal in the zoo keeps us aware of the fact that besides our human there are numerous other residents on the earth. Human’s domination of the world make us alienated from our neighbors and sometimes we think we are the only one who live on the earth. If there is a zoo in your community, you will see some rare animals that are almost on the edge of extinction ,their living enviromment was destroyed and polluted so that they could only be seen in the zoo.What are you feeling and what will you do after you know such a truth .Maybe it is a good way to educate people to protect the environment on the earth.

For those reasons mentioned above , we can draw the conclusion that zoo make us closer to the nature and make our lives colorful.
