     Issue185. Scandals—whether in politics, academia, or other areas—can be useful. They focus our attention on problems in ways that no speaker or reformer ever could.

    Are scandals useful in calling our attention to important problems,as the speaker claims?In my point of view, whether scandals are of social significance should be based on a case-by-case study.In some cases ,scandals are highly significant for the sake that they do unveil some pressing problems that deserve more concerns.In other more circumstances,however,scandals merely serve to distract us from more urgent issues that the society should address immediately.

    On the one hand, scandals do play a important role in putting more emphasize on important issues that we would otherwise neglect.The example of a famous Korean scientist called professor Huang Yuxi can aptly illustrate this point.As we know ,in 2006,the scandal involved the famous Korean sciensist who sophisticated his result of stem cell research in order to accomplish more scientific achievement sparked a fierce debate about how to correctly respect the truth of the result of scientific research and how to prevent the scientists from cheating in the scientific research.Actually,the scandal not only astound the Korean scientifit world ,but also arose a contemplate in scientists all over the world.Perhaps fewer and fewer scientists or students will cheat in the scientific research .Instead ,the scientific world will put more emphasize on the truth of scientific research,which is actually a progress.

    On the other hand ,when it comes to the entertainment would ,scandals merely serve to distract us from more valuable problems.We can often hear  such scandals as that some famous singer has a new boyfriend or some notable swan changes her boyfriend twice in a month.These scandals ,perhaps,merely a trick that the singers made in order that the fans would make more emphasize on themselves,which would result in wasting our time to scan the news on the Internet or our energy to focus on the unvaluable events.On the contrary,if we spend our time on the more pressing and significant issues,such as studying ,working and doing research,perhaps our society would develop more expeditious and our lives would become better and better in a faster speed.

    To sum up,whether scandals bring benefit or harm should be addressed on a case-by-case basis.As stated above,in the academia world,scandals are of great significance for they can reveal problems that deserve addressing immediately.However,sometimes scandals would merely cumber the development of the society for the sake that they waste our time,energy and money.

整体感觉这篇文章问题分析的不是很透彻。
本文从学术和娱乐界两个方面来讨论。但是各个方面讨论的不是很深入，感觉像是一些套话，没有深刻的思想。我现在就很头疼写作文时的思想，怎么才能进行有效的分析。多看看官方范文吧，可能会有帮助。
整体看本文的结构很清楚，首尾两段，中间两段，相互独立。首尾段句式，语言变化不是很大，尾段感觉写的不是很好。对于中间两段，建议可以再加入一段，对某个方面的情况进行一下更深入的讨论什么的。
