TOPIC: ISSUE55 - "Competition for high grades seriously limits the quality of learning at all levels of education."
WORDS: 397

Competition among students for receiving high scores, which sometimes limits the quality of learning, isn't always harmful.
For some smart students, who can easily get a score above 90 in a centesimal grade examination, may waste their time in pursue a score higher than 95. Easily getting a high score means they have mastered the knowledge well taught by teachers in classes. Losing a few points may occur only by making some unavoidable negligent mistakes because nobody can highly concentrate in examination all the time. So it is a more sufficient way for them to learn more knowledge and master more skills outside class. On the other side, however, for the students who have difficulties in getting high scores or even passing exams, competition for high grades is useful. It is necessary to master what is taught in classes because it is usually fundamental and important, and the knowledge appeared in examine is always most important. Competition for high scores can help the students, who don't master the knowledge well enough, get more incentive in learning. In short, it is different for students with different intelligence whether competition for high grades limits the quality of learning.
In addition, the consequence of competition for high scores may be contrary at different levels of education. In elementary school period, pupils need to develop across-the-board with different kinds of training such as dancing and painting. And pursuing for high scores blindly will block them from roundly cultivating. But in middle school period, competition for high scores may have a positive impact for the reasons that the knowledge received in this period is very important and a little difficult to learn and the students can spend much time, which is needed, on study through competing. And for university students, competition for high grades plays opposite roles in students with preparation for future. For example, pursuing high scores helps students study their professional knowledge well who are going to be faculties while it is negative for those whose aims are becoming managers, to whom leadership and communicating ability, which can be improved by spending time on Student Union, are more important.
In conclusion, it is improperly to say competition for high grades is positive or negative simply. Competition limits the quality of learning for some students at some levels of education, at the same time, plays a positive role in other situation.

我想你这篇作文一定写的很赶,感觉论述只是在分情况讲,没有触到更深的东东,还有就是语言有点平淡
o(∩_∩)o...
