I agree with the arguer insofar that scandals in fields such as academia, sports and etc, to some extent, are useful and beneficial to our society. However, were a large number of scandals exposed, such as in the field of politics, it would do a potential harm to our society, instead.

In the first place, in the realm of academia, exposing and unmasking the scandals in this field is necessary and thus, do a good favor to the atmosphere of research worldwide. For instance, Hwang Woo Suk, a famous biologist in the field of medicine from South Korea, last year, however, fabricated cell data asserting that he had found some available methods to copy the torso cell, overtly publishing papers-related in the magazine of Nature-a famous magazine in the world for recent great inventions and discovery in the physical science. Unfortunately, his fairy tale was punctured by his colleagues who were strongly against his dishonesty. As this scandal spread, professor Hwang was severely punished by the Soul University and then expelled from the institute and vehemently criticized by the public as well, which raised our thinking and warned us to be honest in the academic research.

In addition, in considering the field of sports, we can learn lessons from the dishonest activities which are disseminated by the medias as well as official reports. History is replete with examples that scandals in this field exposed to help to show the spirits of the sports, the ' Phone Gate' happening in Italia Football Series A several years ago was a typical example to show that scandals exposed can help build an equal and harmonious atmosphere for the sports. In the likelihood, the former famous boxer was put in jail because of his sex scandals beyond the competition of boxing. Moreover, the famous track and field player, Jones, from United States, was ever reported and tested out that she ever used stimulus to help her win the Medal Gold in the 100-meter competition in the world. After her secrets were punctured and made known to the world, she was expropriated the status of the winners as championship, and accordingly, was annulled her medals and bonus. From the examples mentioned above, in order to show the equality of the sports, exposing the scandals of the clubs and the players keep the careers of the sports successfully and orderly operating. Of course, it also helps show the essential and original spirits of sports.

Admittedly, however, if scandals in the field of politics are largely and inappropriately debunked, it will bring, conversely, negative effects on our society. According to the statistics of the discipline committee of China, 80% of the scandals in politics discovered last year, is that officials in office embezzled a large amount of money. At the same time, some scholars in the field of sociology conducted research for the public, asking what are the feelings when they heard the news that some important officials were exposed bribing and embezzling. 90% of the public expressed restless and fears about it. What is worse, they showed their strong feelings against the government service because they believed that the governments were not working for them, instead, they just used their powers through corruption. Thus, we can see that scandals in the field of politics more or less put negative influence on the public, rather than do a good favor to put an end to this dishonest behaviors.

In sum, scandals from the fields of such academia and sports should be exposed because they actually do a good favor to our society. While it is actual true we can debunk the scandals in the field of politics, however, in order to keep the stability of our society, we should be careful and prudent when reporting the bad news in politics, which can bring turmoil to our society as well as to the public.
