谢谢~
The speaker alleged that all faculties should be required to participate in the work outside academia in fields relevant to the courses they teach just in order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level; however, I disagree with the speaker to some extent, considering that some academic areas in which that outside work is either unavailable and unnecessary.
On the one hand, there are indeed many benefits in requiring some faculty spending time working outside the academic world in professions which connect their teaching course because of the relationship between the academic fields and working world. At first, the teachers' experience acquired from practice can make progress in their teaching in some extent. Take Journalism for an example, the working experience from teachers may give the students more new even knowledge not mentioned in the traditional books. Considering economics as another instance , in a not dissimilar way of many practical courses, students need teachers to tell them how to control the real markets, put their plans into reality and how to know the consumers' requires but not only read books. Moreover, the working experience can also be used to encourage the learners to practice even spur them to research deeply in the academia. Secondly, working involved the world makes people up to date, which is really important to some high-tech course such as engineer, computer science, program studying and so forth.
On the other hand, working experience does little or maybe even do harm to some professional fields. Humanities like anthropology, philosophy and so on, needs to reforming analysis system but not experience which is used a lot in working. Teachers' horizons may be definfed(confined) in the routine work, consequently, the result probably prohabits (prohibits) the progress in researching. Many Nobel-Prize winners have been studying the whole lives in their labs. Karl Marx spent 42 years in writing 'Capital'. The human’s treasure 'Capital' may be abort if Marx went to work instead of continuous researching. We would never image what the world could be if many experts used the time to work that should be used in research. The experience seems meaningless in such theoretical academia.
To sum up, I conceded the speaker's claim that the quality of instruction at college and university level would be proved by the faculty's experience drew from the work which relate to their professional fields. Admittedly, experience benefits many practical courses, whereas there are also fields only needing continuous researching. Accordingly, taking part in work has advantages and disadvantages. From another aspect, we also have other methods to prove the quality of instruction such as establish a research union to encourage students to study in team as well as research by their selves. As a result, we could mix several methods to make the biggest progress in the college and university teaching.

我觉得几段没这么严格,你的最后一段也综合的说了 应该没问题
