Is it a very rare case that the choice is absence? As for this topic, I fundamentally agree with the speaker's claim that the absence of choice is a rare circumstance. Whereas, it is important to acknowledge that there is also certain circumstance under which we have no choice for it involves one's duty, morality and so forth.

To begin with, the first reason why I agree with this claim relies on the fact that nowadays people owns more and more choices than before owing to the rapid and significant development of modern technology and science. The highly developed technology and science brings about marvelous achievements which enable one have more opportunities to choose between different things to attain the goal or reach the destination. Take the advancement in transportation as an example, people living in ancient time will have no other choice but by ship, by horse or just by foot in order to go around the world. However, today many transportation innovations such as airplane, train and so forth serve as various choices for one planning to travel around. In fact, choice is made by oneself and hence depends on personal will. At most time, one can make choice as long as he would like to this. One can choose the lifestyle to live, the professional job to take and so forth. In other words, choice is ubiquitous especially in modern time.     

On the other hand, sometimes it is the fear of making mistakes and facing up disdain from surrounding people that makes one withdraw in the moment of decision. Some ones claim that they have no choice but only to do in their way, while the real situation may not be the same as he complains. An aptly illustrated example may involve the Copernicus's heliocentric theory. Most people were afraid of the contemporary strong oppression of religious community who fervently advocates that earth is the center of the whole universe. Therefore, they saw no choice as for the topic about the center of universe. Therefore, fear keeps one from choosing whereas the choices indeed exist at the same time.

Whereas the moment when one actually has no choice does exist, especially when this choice has to do with one's duty to the society, morality in oneself, ethics influencing the family or surrounding people, and so forth. As member of the whole society, one has to hold accountable to t his own actions and do his own duty to the society without any other choice. It is only when everyone consciously obeys the rule and law, does one's own duty, acts something which does not contract with the standards of morality and ethics that can the whole society's well-being and healthy advancement be assured. Consider, for instance, everyone has to pay the tax without choice for it is a social member's duty; Or consider, for instance, parent has to bring up their children without choice because it is their responsibility; Also consider, for instance, wife or husband has to be honesty to each other without choice or else it may cause ethics problems. In either event, the circumstance without choice also exists.

To sum up, people faces more and more choices which ensured by the external technological conditions as well as one's own will, nonetheless one also encounter some particular circumstance under which there is no alternative decision. It is also possible that one has to do so and choice is only illusion.

我对这个题目的观点是大正小负，所以前两段说的是选择机会多，后面用一段来说某些时候没有选择。可能是我开头没有写好，所以观点不清楚。。
