Nowadays, we face a lot of circumstances that we should make a choice and usually we are still to be chosen. Also in some situations, people do not have many choices due to some limitations.

First of all, our life is full of choices. Choice is ineluctable and become an essential element in our daily life. For example, a person chooses how to go to work, what to eat, when to sleep and so on. Before he decide to do anything, he may first choose the way to do it. Moreover, during a person's whole life, especially at the several memorial moments, the absence of choice is very rare. For instance, he chooses the suitable profession to apply and he chooses the right one to spend the whole life with. The most fundamental moment of a person is relevant to the process of choice. In addition, not only for a person, but also for a country, the absence of choice is very rare. As a country, it chooses the position and attitude to stand when a international issue happens, which is a difficult and important choice. Thus, the absence of choice is very rare no matter for a person or for a country.

Furthermore, our life is full of being chosen. We not only have the right to choose, but also in some situations we are those to be chosen. For example, when a student applies for a university, the professor chooses whether to enroll in him. Also when a graduate joins in an interview, the interviewer chooses whether to offer him the job. In these two situations, we are those both to choose and to be chosen. Moreover, for an enterprise it also faces the situation to be chosen. In the market economics in order to compete with other companies an enterprise have to develop and promote itself as fast as possible. Or the enterprise may not survive and even bankrupt due to the social natural choice, which means the society chooses the enterprises that have more competitive ability. Therefore, our life is full of situations of choosing and being choosing.

Admittedly, in some circumstances people do not have to right to choose. Due to some objective elements, some people cannot choose but accept. For example, in some areas especially in Africa, people are too poor to afford the fees for education. They even do not have enough food to feed the hungry children. People in such areas face a circumstance that is absent of choice. Also due to sexual discrimination, some women do not have the right to receive education and apply for their favorable jobs. All these situations imply that people in different areas do no have the equal right to choose regarding to the lopsided development of the society. Hence, to some extent, the circumstance that choice is rare still exists.

To sum up, in my opinion, the circumstance that choice is absent is very rare. Our life is full of choosing and being chosen, no matter for a single person, a enterprise or a country. However, to some extent there still exist some circumstances that people do not have many choices due to some particular objective elements.
