Thirteen years ago, researchers studied a group of 25 infants who showed signs of mild distress when exposed to unfamiliar stimuli such as an unusual odor or a tape recording of an unknown voice (how to judge the distress for infants? Clearly, increased levels of melatonin before birth cause shyness during infancy and this shyness continues into later life.

我的大脑顽强的告诉我，这里指的是：“unactive and depression” 毕竟退黑色素和５－ＨＴ在大脑神经元神经递质的作用就是lead to regular mood. PLUS, the  melatonin can lead to青少年 Depression，这可是FDA认定的sideeffect。

1．Study。样本容量，代表性。25太少了。
2．在早秋怀孕不一定代表是这些激素影响了婴儿的行为。由可能早秋的天气比较凉，或者这些孩子自身后天受到影响，并非因为大脑受到了荷尔蒙的影响。或者是吃了什么东西。
3．这些小孩长大了人为自己shy并不一定是真的，每个人对shy的标准不同，可能他们自己认为shy别人都不这么认为。
4．就算真的是shy，也不一定是因为小时候的继续，可能是后天家庭环境，社会环境导致的。

distress是紧张的意思吧？不要太专业啦，不要考虑自己的背景知识哦~~~~

1、study的有效性，只有25个infants够吗？
2、数据模糊性“They discovered that these infants were more likely than other infants to have been conceived in early autumn”这句中的more likely是指有多少在秋天出生
3、No evidence表明mild distress是shyness，可能是生理上的痛苦呢
4、忽略了后天影响性格的因素，如家庭环境等等

恩，同意；漏洞应 该是在没有专业背景的前提下也可以找的出来的，表太往深想~~
