Education is so significant to human society that it should be concerned by all the members of our society. So, just as the topic says, not only the professional educators, but also parents and communities must be involved in education.

Education is so important that we can not choose a precise word to describe its importance. It is the most basic factor for the development of human society. It is the education that teaches the young what we used to be like, what we had already known and what we do not know. So without education would no history be memorized, no culture be passed, no civilization be achieved and human just stay in the ignorant situation as thousands years ago. Thus, only on the basis of education can man progress. Only assisted with well and comprehensive education can our society advances fast and healthily.

However, many people attribute education to the responsibility of a group of professional educators only. Admittedly, professional educators surely have the liability of education for it is their occupation and most of them have done their own job well. But only depending on professional educators is absolutely dangerous. In the first place, the confines of curriculum can not cover all the things a child should learn. Take myself for example, in my elementary school, I just learn some ordinary lessons as math, Chinese, music, and such like, while some more important things such as cooking, riding bicycle, communicating with other kids, and the like were acquired after class. Furthermore, what the teachers do should meet most of students’ need and maybe it is not suitable for certain students. And, since there are usually more than ten students in a class, the teacher can not pay attention to every student equally. This may make some kids feel that they are ignored and the are not liked by the teacher and feel hurt. So, only depending on professional educator have some disadvantages.

Parents are responsible to their children for their education. A Chinese saying goes:” Parents is the first teacher of a child.” Parents have the most influential power on their children because they are their most familiar person during the progress of their growing. Children always consider what their parents do to be right and follow them. Just as a public advertisement once showed, after seeing his mother who is quite tied of a day of work helping the grandma washing her feet, the little boy run to the water faucet, boiled the water and prepared a basin of warm water for helping his mother washing her feet, and the mother smiles at her son with happy tears in eyes. The advertisement had move millions of people and tell us a truth that parents should be an example for their children because they are such an effective teacher.

Communities should be involved into the education too, because education is the responsibility of our society. Not only the young but also the adult should keep on learning for learning never stops. And communities become the big school for everyone. What you have regarded to be correct may not really be correct. The correctness will be demonstrated by communities and what is right will be taught by community either.

Therefore, in modern society professional educator, parents and communities must be combined together to form a healthy, all-around, lifelong education system for human being.
