Collectors prize the ancient life-size clay statues of human figures made on Kali Island but have long wondered how the Kalinese artists were able to depict bodies with such realistic precision. The article, in the finale sentence, conclude that the life-size sculptures' value will decrease and the value of miniatures will increase. The series of assumptions in the artical seems logical. However, the new finding of molds of human heads and hands on Kali does not means that the value of life-size sculpture and miniature will alter. There are host of alternatives and factors to judge the value of these statues. The arguer make fallaces as follows.
In the first place, it is not sure that the discovery of ancient Kalinese artists used molds of actual bodies will decrease the value of life-size sculptures. The arguer allege that the ancient Kalinese artists does not use sculpting tools and techniques. Unfortunately, in actuality, it is possible that molds and sculpting tools are both used, for the life-size clay statues is astounding realistic precision which is more likely based on multitude of methods. Moreover, even if we concede that the sculpture lacks sculpting and techniques, it is equally possible that the life-size sculptures own values that  is people never concerned before. Because of using molds, the life-size sculptures honestly record the body of Kalinese who lived long ago. The record will provide some trace of human being's evolution, and that is to say, the value of life-size sculptures expand. In short, the value of sculptures may not decreased, and it is possible that  the new finding of molds add more sense to life-size sculpture.
In the second place, many factors could affect the value of an art, not only the means to make it. It is likely that preserving life-size sculptures is difficult, and the number of sculptures is so poor that collectors consider these sulptures is rare, even if there is a news saying that sulptures are not create by tools. In contrast, the miniatures is common for collectors. Not only the amounte of miniatures is numerous, but also the material and color is the one collectors dislike. Thus, the new development, maybe, play little role to change collectors' opinions.
In the third place, since the discovery did not provide any more advantages concerning miniature, and the ancient artists does not use sculpting tools both for the prodution of these two kind of statues, why the value of miniatures will increase? The value is more possible maintain the same compared to the past.
Sum to up, to judge the value of statues of Kali is not easy. Merely based on the new finding to judge the value is unlikely. At any rate, the topic of old minnatures and sculpters is intereting, and how the value of them alter is required more evidence.
