185 “Scandals—whether in politics, academia, or other areas—can be useful. They focus our attention on problems in ways that no speaker or reformer ever could.

Are all scandals useful whether in politics, academia, or other areas? And can they absorb our concentration on problems, as the statement suggests? I concede that it is true as the speaker asserts, however, we should not overestimate the significance of scandals and overlook the functions of speakers and reformer.

Admittedly, it is extraordinarily attractive that scandals are in certain problems which we would otherwise overlook. This is especially true in politics. I follow the reasoning that political scandals, such as corruption, have a marked impact on common people's daily lives. For example, supposing that if there is a corruption scandal involving powerful officials, it will call a great deal of attention of common people. Once there are corruption scandals in the government, people will be disappointed of the government, even not support and resistance the government. Because they think the money, mostly combined by tax, do not be made use of county developing but be pocketed by individuals. If there is no enough money in sustaining the developing of the country, the step of developing will be slow and the standard of living will not be raised. Thus people will pay a lot of attention on the scandals in politics.

However, under certain circumstance, scandals are not useful for every one and even play a terrible role in society. It is because of the difference in people’s interests that scandals in certain area are not useful to every one in society. For instance, some scandals in entertainment and sport areas are not valuable for those who do not know the singer or the athlete at all. On the other hand, it will take a terrible effect on the teens. The teens do not have a strong and correct attitude of right wrong about intricate affairs in society. The frequent changing relationship of a singer or movie star will influence the youths’ awareness. Those fans of Tom Cruise, a movie star who divorced once and changed girlfriend many times, will take him as an example and intimate him. The consequence is that they are not serious in their love. Hence, the speaker overestimates the effect of scandals and neglects its negative influence.

In my view, actually, speakers also play a pivotal role in calling our attention to important problems. Take Martin Luther King as a convincing example, as a great speaker, his tonic speech inspired people in his group and leading increasing people’s passion and strengthening their faith, in which way, he united a great amount of blacks and whites together to fight for the equally rights as the white owned. Speakers induce people to acknowledge the problems clear by their speech, which are related to their benefits. They impart their proposition in their inflammatory speech to enable people to focus on the problems and agree with the statements. After the speech, people will have a better and deep understanding of the problems and then they will require government or other institutions to resolve the problems. In a word, we should not overlook the leading effect of speakers.

To sum up, it is true, as the speaker claims, that scandals play a significant role in calling attention to the problems. However, the speaker mistakenly asserts all scandals are useful and overlooks the effect of speakers and reformers.

Are all scandals useful whether in politics, academia, or other areas? And can they  our concentration on problems, as the statement suggests? I concede that it is true as the speaker asserts, however, we should not overestimate the significance of scandals and overlook the functions of speakers and reformer.

Admittedly, it is extraordinarily attractive that scandals are in certain problems which we would otherwise overlook. This is especially true in politics. I follow the reasoning that political scandals, such as corruption, have a marked impact on common people's daily lives. For example, supposing(soppose) that if there is a corruption scandal involving powerful officials, it will call a great deal of attention of common people. Once there are corruption scandals in the government, people will be disappointed of the government, even not support and resistance(resisit) the government. Because they think the money, mostly combined by(composed of) tax(taxes), do not be(have not been) made use of county developing (to develope the country) but be(可省掉) pocketed by individuals. If there is no enough money in sustaining the developing(developement) of the country, the step of developing (advancement)will be slow and the standard of living (living condition)will not be raised. (这句话好象写跑题了,好象这段的主题没什么关系啊)Thus people will pay a lot of attention on the scandals in politics.

However, under certain circumstance, scandals are not useful for every one and even play a terrible role in society. It is because of the difference in people’s interests that scandals in certain area are not useful to every one in society. For instance, some scandals in entertainment and sport areas are not valuable for those who do not know the singer or the athlete(复数) at all. On the other hand, it will take a terrible effect on the teens. The teens do not have a strong and correct attitude of right (or) wrong about intricate affairs in society. The frequent(frequently) changing relationship of a singer or movie star will influence the youths’ awareness. Those fans of Tom Cruise, a movie star who divorced once and changed girlfriend many times, will take him as an example and intimate him. The consequence is that they are not serious in their love. Hence, the speaker overestimates the (positive)effect of scandals and neglects its negative influence.

In my view, actually, speakers also play a pivotal role in calling our attention to important problems. Take Martin Luther King as a convincing example, as a great speaker, his tonic speech inspired people in his group and leading increasing people’s passion and strengthening their faith(仔细看,语法有问题,and应该连接两个动词,你怎么一个是动词一个是ing形式), in which way, he united a great amount of blacks and whites together to fight for the equally(equal) rights as the white owned. Speakers induce people to acknowledge(recognize) the problems clear(clearly) by their speech(speeches), which are related to their benefits. They impart their proposition in their inflammatory speech( 同前) (which)enable people to focus on the problems and agree with the statements. After the speech, people will have a better and deep understanding of the problems and then they will require government or other institutions to resolve the problems. In a word, we should not overlook the leading effect of speakers.

To sum up, it is true, as the speaker claims, that scandals play a significant role in calling attention to the problems. However, the speaker mistakenly asserts all scandals are useful and overlooks the effect of speakers and reformers
突然想起来了, I follow the reasoning 是什么意思啊?

I follow the reasoning that……

I concede that it is true as the speaker asserts, however, we should not overestimate the significance of scandals and overlook the functions of speakers and reformer.

Admittedly, it is extraordinarily attractive eye-catching that scandals are in certain problems (lead us to some problems) which we would otherwise overlook. This is especially true in politics (political field). I follow the reasoning that political scandals, such as corruption, have a marked impact on common people's daily lives. For example, supposing (这个是对的吧) that if there is a corruption scandal involving powerful officials, it will call a great deal of attention of common people. Once there are corruption scandals in the government, people will be disappointed of (towards) the government, even not support and resistance the government (even rejecting to support and finally resisting against the government). Because they think the money, mostly combined by(composed of) tax(taxes), do not be(have not been) made use of county developing (to develope the country) but be(可省掉)pocketed by individuals.

It is because of the difference variety in people’s interests that scandals in certain area are not useful to every one in society (are impossible to educate everyone in the society). For instance, some scandals in entertainment and sport areas are not valuable for those who do not know the singer or the athlete(复数) at all. On the other hand, it will take a terrible effect on the teens. The teens do not have a strong and correct attitude of right (or) wrong about intricate affairs in society. The frequent(frequently) changing relationship (image是形象吧?) of a singer or movie star will influence the youths’ awareness. Those fans of Tom Cruise, a movie star who divorced once and changed girlfriend many times, will take him as an example and intimate him. The consequence is that they are not serious in their love. Hence, the speaker overestimates the (positive)effect of scandals and neglects its negative influence.

To sum up, it is true, as the speaker claims, that scandals play a significant role in calling the public attention to the problems. However, the speaker mistakenly asserts all scandals are useful and overlooks the effect of speakers and reformers
