103 The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives

In modern times, as the society developes quickly, many people asserts that there is aways something revelent to the history in our daily lives, furthurmore they conclude that the study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevent to our daily lives as the author claims,in the other words they mean there is no value to study those history which have no relation with our daily lives. However, the fuction of our human history is not only incarnated in daily life but also in so many aspects which may beyond our imagination temporarily.

Nowadays, we see US which is the strongest country in the world sometimes feels ashamed for its short history which only gets 200 years while some less developed counties such as China and India are always show their pride of their centuries-old history, from which we can conclude that hiatory stands such an important status in all people’s minds that not only has some relations with our daily lives but contains much more meanings. As regards the study of history, which may also called noting and creating the history as well. For our daily lives will also turn to past some day and be noted in future, what we have studied today will affect something unknown tomorrow, if our ancestors only note and study the history relating to their life at that time, the one come down for generations and we face today should be not completely . Therefore, the area of history we study now should not only contain something relate to our daily lives, a full-scale study of history is necessary in long-term sight.

Moreover, we study history so that we won’t repeat the mistakes of the past. Since everything has its own history, studying history is the foudation of understanding all the things that can make us avoid the same mistakes which happened in the past. For instance, when medicinal sceintists who are studying some therapy on a certain illness, he won’t try these fault wethods which were testified aabsolutely wrong in the past. And in other realms such as wars, politics and ecnomics, it is also appliticable as well.

In addition, studying history itself is an meanful thing which deserves being encouraged, in my opinion history is an interesting subject such as the point of view thrown at some recondite maths problems by some mathematician. If people pay much more attention to its practicability, the study itself will lost its objectivity as a result.

So we can conclude that although the study of history has value to a great deal extent that it is relevant to our daily lives, it is not only within the everyday lives. Studying history will play an important role in today and tomorrow which we can’t make an assert now, so it is very nessary to study the whole history including these parts which is relevent to our daily lives.
