问题。

3.建立发展全球化大学面临的难题和风险。
In the era of rapid development of globalization, there is no doubt that the idea is very significant that all nations help support establishing and developing a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world' s most persistent social problems. However, we have to solve a series of difficult problems and take some unavoidable risks when it comes to the practical operation of the idea.
Turning first to the global perspective and cultural diversity of a global university. With international perspective the professors and students of a global university can bring various wisdom from different culture, experience from different nations into solution to the social problems. Compared with traditionally way of thinking, they meditate the solution of problems on utilizing the available global resources and maximizing the whole interests of humanity. Besides, the communication and mutual understand between social elites from various nations on the world's most persistent social problems are strengthened with the development of a global university, which certainly help to solve the problems.
Turning second to the nature of the world's most persistent social problems. For instance, global warm results from the fact that the advancement of modern industry in nations brings a myriad of waste gas into our atmosphere and perhaps leads to global changes in rainfall patterns, a rise in sea level, and a wide range of impact on plants, wildlife, and humans. Considering the world is inherently an undivided whole, the nature of the social problems becomes increasing international with the development of global network of human economy and communication. Therefore, the solution to the social problems must be sought on the basis of international perspective, rather than relying on only a certain nation. The professors and students of the global university are able to work out a compromised and feasible solution in order to coordinate actions of all national governments.
However, the idea is one thing and the practical operation is another thing. Establishing and development a global university may encounter several certainties and risks. In one place, how does the financial burden of the university distribute among all participating nations? Given that nations argue on the annual budget of the UN, this problem is worth considering. In another place, the common political, cultural and religious confliction, even hostility may severely decline cooperative willing among nations, let alone helping support the development of a global university. Even if a global university would be established, it has taken the unavoidable risk that the differences of political, cultural and religious views may result in the discredit and argument among students, which may impede the development of the university.
In conclusion, I appreciate the arguer's idea yet query whether the idea is feasible in practical operation although solving the world's most persistent social problems can indeed increase whole welfare of humanity.
