Issue 4 No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study.

View1: 现代社会发展，学术交叉现在已经很普遍了（在研究经济的需要数学领域的知识和经验，在研究能源领域，地质学-传统的火力发电，气象学-风力发电，物理学—新兴太阳能，核能发电）

View2: 通过学术交叉，我们可以从不同方面来分析思考问题，这种全面的思考问题使人们对于问题产生了更深刻的认识和了解。同时，也会避免受到该领域的固有思想左右。从而把效率发挥到最高。例子，犯罪学。从主流犯罪学来说，也就是从社会学视角的犯罪学或叫做犯罪社会学, 经过将近100年的研究取得了丰硕成果，但是我感到从社会学的角度研究犯罪已经快走到了极限。因此西方有的学者说，犯罪学的研究突破恐怕要指望于其他学科例如生物学，可能要仰仗于生物学的研究。前不久，美国南加州大学的研究人员经过长期研究，得出一个结论，说暴力犯罪有生理原因。

View3: 只有先学好本学科的知识，才有能力导入其他学科的知识

As an old saying told us, “two heads are better than one”. I fundamentally agree with the speaker’s statement that one field of study requires support or supplement of other realm’s knowledge and experience so that the study could advance significantly. Nevertheless, the precondition is one must firstly has a good learning in own master field. Without it, impetus from outside disciplines will appear meaningless or less helpful.

Addimittedly,with the development of modern science along with the highly-advanced technology, interconnected fields of study has become greatly common and could be found in almost all the realm of science. As interconnected fields experience mutual growth and prosperity, modern studies require further collaboration for continued progress and success. For examples, without supporting advances in calculus, the field of economics would never have seen the booming growth of its last decades. Moreover, in the research realm of energy source, while our geologists continue in searching for areas that potential exits gases or coals, experts from meteorology stand out and introduce us wind power which is an unexhausted and environmental resource. Others like nuclear, solar energy from study of physics have introduced into research of energy resource and some of them are now begin to benefit human beings’ life. All these newly developments of energy from other science realm, effectively appease the current serious worldwide energy problem and contribute to the dramatically achievement in the realm of energy resource.

Thorough inclusion of varied fields, the study of any problem will provide people with greater insight and comprehension. Meanwhile, it prevents the predominant idea that may in fact be untrue or narrow-sighted. Consequently it results to a favorable influence on the efficient of study. Take criminology as an example. As for mainstream criminology, with about one hundred study on the perspective of sociology, it is indisputable that mainstream has received numerous praise for its great achievement in last decades. But the information I have collected over recent years let me believe the progress of criminology is limited and can hardly make significant breakthrough as it could before. Experts from western assume that the booming of discipline must depend on other field of study such as biology. Researchers from University of South California who carried out an experiment that they investigated a huge number of criminals locked in the State prison and study them by the different kind of criminal they once committed. After 10 years’ investigation, they finally reached the conclusion and pointed out that violence criminals such as murder, incendiary are mostly consistent with people’s gene which is inborn but not mainly formed from later studied or environment. Based on what have been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that interconnected field of study can produce a far reaching impact on science and such phenomenon provides people insightful eyes should be encouraged, which will benefit progress of science, even the society as a whole.

However, when we are emphasizing the important of interconnected field of study, I insist that individuals should firstly master all its foundational knowledge. In fact, many successful scientists who make great contribution to certain field ,whether with the support from other science knowledge or not, are all professions or experts in their own study realm. So, it is presumptuous to advise that everyone should make effort in basic science learning.

In sum, I agree that no field of study could advance significant unless outsiders bring experience and knowledge to that field of study because it seems highly necessary for today’s modern society. Meanwhile, foundational and basic knowledge should also not be neglected or ignored since it is a precondition as a tool for people to use in later time’s research.
