In the college and university, faculty is the key-point of improving the quality. The faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach, which can improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level. And at the same time, professors should not forget their responsibility in teaching and should be a good teacher first.

Working outside the academic world in professions relevant to courses can help professors to improve the whole college and university academic level. The outside work can gain more experience related to their own research in their field. They can touch the highest and latest information of development which are much useful to their research. These information can help them improve equipments, change to some efficient research method and technique and even update research ideas. If the professors study their own projects only in their own academic world, they will have many difficulties to get the achievement because of their own shortage and flaws. The outside world would just help them get rid of these shortage and broad their horizon and lead them out of the dilemma.

Working outside can also improve the quality of their teaching in the college and university classes. When the professors work outside and use the knowledge in the real projects, they must have some difficulty through the process of transform academia to engineering. After hard work and other's help, the difficulty can be solved. In this process, the professor can gain much knowledge they can not get from normal study which will also become the best wealth they can teach to their students. If the professors only study in their office at a corner of the college and university, they will be separated with the vivid world. In that case, the knowledge they taught to their students is only something on paper and can hardly be used in the fact projects. So we can not call a teacher as a good leader of life and a good knowledge transporter who can only read books and teach something that can not use at all.

Admittedly, the professor should work outside according to their own condition. Firstly, it is not necessary to work outside for some faculty in some academic fields which related no fact work at all. They can only study their subjects by calculation or information found in the history. History and mathematics are good example to it. Also, the professors should take the responsibility of the teaching as the first important thing. They should recognize that all the work outside is to improve their academic level and develop their teaching. The teaching to students is the basic and the work outside is serve for teaching. So as a excellent professor and teacher, if outside work is required and need, they can spend some time reasonably working outside in the precondition that it is not take up their duty of teaching and time for research.

In a conclusion, the faculty can spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach, by which way, they can teach more and teach better. If they can also control the time and vigor on the outside work well, they can lead students a better level in their life.
