Since the 19th-century industrial revolution, technology has shoot ahead unprecedentedly and change our life dramatically. With the appearance of intelligent machines, people spontaneously tend to concern about catastrophic effect resulting from the possible superiority to human beings in the future. As far as I am concerned, machines are created by human beings to improve life quality, so we are confident and able to keep a good control of machines if designing and creating justifiably.

First of all, the accelerative development of technology shows the unbelievable power of machines, which is strong enough to make us doubt its potential superiority to the human mind. Just like the description in popular science fictions or the plots in movies, the machines were so intelligent and arbitrary that they have total capability to replace human being to live in the world, which incites the war between machines and human beings. These imagination just occurs in fictions or movies, but the fact that the Gulf war demonstrated that our most advanced robots were actually designed to kill people. Moreover, it was reported that IBM's Deep Blue computer defeated the world chess champion in 1997!  After recalling these facts happened in the past, we have no reason to sit still without concern about the potential of machines.

However, as a matter of fact, the human mind will always be superior to machines which are created in a different way of the birth of human beings. Again take the Deep Blue to analyse, actually it isn't a mind for anything other than chess and not conscious in the way of humans are conscious. You can't have even a simple conversation with it. So just like other machines, they are created tools without complex human brains. Meanwhile, we can imagine audaciously: Only when people understand how brain functions and have a better idea of the micro-functional structure can they are able to build machines equal or even exceed to humans, but such imagination is hard to come true like the dream we can travel faster than light.

As human beings, we should always recognize the fact that the goal to design and produce machines is to improve human life instead of using machines to injure or even kill others. To my certain knowledge, many modern factories have imported high-tech machines which are designed to manufacture products automatically in order to improve the efficiency and quality. In the pharmaceutical field, the invention of medical machines can relieve the doctors’ burden and improve accuracy esp. during the process of surgery. In a word, as soon as we create and use machines appropriately, infinite benefit above our expectation will we get from the machines.

In conclusion, considering the fact that human mind will always be superior to machines, we needn't concern too much about the adverse effect of its intelligence. What's the most important is to instruct all the human beings to use machines in a correct and justifiable way rather than to do harm to ourselves.
