占位,晚上回来看~
When it comes to whether governments should pay more attention to immediate problems or not, I fully support the author's viewpoint(感觉上个人观点放在段末比较好). Because immediate problems, in most cases, are the direct causes of the anticipated problems of the future, of course we ought to take more efforts to solve it. Nevertheless, it does not mean that there is no need to try to solve problems of the future.
First of all, as we all know, today's problems usually lead to that of the future. Take for example the environmental problems, it is just because (because of)more and more cars and factories today, which are producing countless harmful gases and polluted chemical substances, that make our environment worse and worse, which is largely possible to shorten the natural resourses(resources), water and the forth, necessary for the future survival ()of our human beings. That is why governments and civils(不明白这个单词想说什么…civils拼写错误) focus more on trying their best to make all these problems of today being solved.
Additionally, most problems of today directly harm our living standard or development of our society. If we do not take effective measurments(measurement) to solve them, our immediate needs may not be able to meet(这个有被动的意思么?), not to say solve problems of the future. For instance, the horrible desease(disease) SARS killed handreds(hundreds) of people in China when it comes, and millions of other lives would be in danger if it is not successfully cured. In such case, how can we put such urgent problem behind and discuss something far behind like extinction of elephants?
Finally, I should admit that focusing more on immediate problems does not necessarily mean completely neglect future problems, which will surely affect us as well, just by times. As mentioned above, extinction of animals is becoming a biger poblem(bigger problem) of the future. Once some animals, even if just one kind, disappeared, more and more animals would defenitely(definitely) die because of it, thus the demage(damage) of the food chain. Consequently, the extinction of our human beings is totally unavoidable. So, be ware of the possible problems of future and try to control it by now is obviously significant.
In conclusion, governments should focus more on solving the immediate problems of today, and meanwhile, pay appropriate attention to problems of the future.
