TOPIC: ISSUE110 - "When we concern ourselves with the study of history, we become storytellers. Because we can never know the past directly but must construct it by interpreting evidence, exploring history is more of a creative enterprise than it is an objective pursuit. All historians are storytellers."

1.historian's most important job is to tell the truth .he is indeed a story teller but not a creative one.
2.different historians will have different opions about the same history fact,all these construct the real face of the history.
3.although mordern technology makes record of history more truly,historian still play an impotant role.
   When we want to know the history,the only way is to interprete the evidence the history left and it is just the historian's job. History was the fact that far away from us and no one can tell us what really happened in that time.So what we know today about the history is the story the historian tell us.But it does not  mean all these are made up by historians,on the opposite,they are the truest evidence picked up by historians.
   
   Historians' most important job is to restore the truth of the history.This job calls for two aspects:one is to determine which evidence is true;the other is to put all the true evidence together and make a story.Among the history evidence,something is valuble ,something is invaluble;something is true,something is made up for some reasons.For historian,the ability of telling the valuble and true history evidence from all evidence is necessary.Only a historian who own this ability can tell us a story that is based on the true evidence but not but not a creative one.In the process of making a story of the history,a real historian not like a novelist who prefers to creat the details,must guarrentee all the details included in the story based on the evidence and any speculation stem from the evidence will be marked so as to discriminate it from the real evidence.What a real historian pursue is only the fact of the history but nothing else.
   
   Though each historian will tell us a different story when facing the same evidence, it will not confuse us but give us a complete understanding of the true history. As we konow,a historian who want to explain a history fact has to check many kinds of preferences or evidences.In the process of checking,it is impossible that all the historians find the same thing,on the contrary,the different historian will have the different opinions. As the exact truth of history will never be known,no matter how great a historian only can offer us a kind of possibility of the truth,but in all possibilities made by each historian there must be the real face of the history.
  
   Along with the development of the recording technology,nowadays many history details can be exactly recorded by camera or other tools so that some people claim that the historians will not exist in the future.In fact, however exactly a historian can be recorded ,the research of the history will never stop.The historian is not a person who just collects the historian evidence and tell which one is true but a researcher who learn the history and draw the lessons the history tell us.A great historian not only shows us what is the real history but more important can find out the law of history which can lead us to know the world more clearly.
  
   The history is indeed a story teller,but not a creative one.What he tells us is a reflection of the true history and more importantly is the lesson history teach us.
