Tradition or modernization, the speaker gives us an alternative choice. It is true that tradition and modernization in certain case are incompatible, but it is too hastiness to make the conclusion that one must make a selection between them. In my view, in the society we can seek for a balance between tradition and modernization, and I go further to illustrate this point.

Actually, to some degree tradition and modernization have a diverse that incurs an ineffective progress of the modern society. The tradition always comes from the habit and state of human's mind and their behavior, on the other hand, modernization usually refers to the pursuing of new thing and revolution. As development of civilization, culture and beliefs accepted by generations suffer from the larger impact than any time before. Meanwhile, the clinch opinion and idea also withdraw the refreshment and advancement of modernization. For instance, the discrimination on women which exists for a mount of years has not been completely removed and would lead to unequal treatment with women in job-market. Also, in area of architecture, the increasing numbers of skyscrapers replace some traditional old buildings, by which the sprite and culture of a nation compacted, utterly disappear. In sum, the incompatible quality is unavoidable and indeed causes some disappointments in our lives.

However, it is wrong to ignore the fact that tradition takes a great beneficial influence on the modernization. Firstly, modernization can make a significant advance by the guiding of properly tradition. The correct minds from Aristotle, Plato, Scorates and so forth still direct human's behavior and serve to make education effective in modern times. Secondly, tradition which served as the fundamental prompts the improvement of modernization. Newton's classical mechanics is still as a basic method or guideline to analysis the real world in physics and explore the unknowing world. If human were losing the tradition, it can be viewed as putting sand in the wheels of the development of society. In the sense, tradition plays an indispensable function in the history of human beings.

In addition, modernization also provides a protection and a chance of improving with traditional culture, art, communication. For example, as the development of technology, one, if he/she wants, can immediately gain exactly traditional knowledge by modern media and internet. Invention of the record objectively reserves human's history. If not, the record of classical music can never bring modern one to feel about the past age. Today, one always sends emails which is convenient and rapid instead of mails to his/her friends. The existence of modernization let us obtain the way to enjoy traditional culture.

In conclusion, it is important for men and women to have a correct attitude on tradition and modernization. Although discrepancies exist, it is necessary to make an eclectic choice from tradition and modernization that human civilization can profit to this balance.
