2、然而，有丑闻迷惑了我们，是我们过于在于主角的过失而忽视了其功劳。例子，Bill Clinton;
3、对于丑闻应该警惕它的真实性，不可盲目相信而对别人造成不必要的伤害。

Is it true that scandals are useful in calling our attention to important problems just like what the statement suggests? I agree that in many cases scandals can reveal larger problems that are sometimes unavailable for public, which benefits to the development of politic, economic and society. However, we should not be blinded to the contributions of the greats. Moreover, what we should do is avoiding believing blindly and be care of the authenticity of some scandals.

Admittedly, that some scandals expose some facts that cannot be seen in other ways for the speaker and reformers have to take responsibilities for their public affairs. The most typical example is the Watergate scandal in which president Nixon attempts to overshadow even isolated the document from public, using his presidential power. But, in retrospect the scandal increase the level of scrutiny and accountability to which our officials are held, thereby working a significant and lasting benefit to our society. Also take Watergate as an example, it is because of the nation had weathered such a profound constitutional crisis that some constitutional bills are emended. Our society would be clear beneficiary of such reform. Another one is Enron Fails, the biggest business bankruptcy case in America history, after which Wall Street took a series of measurements which aim at to protect the interests of investors and consummate the institution.

However, sometimes, the scandals confused us and overemphasize their faults rather than their contribution fairly. Perhaps the paradigmatic modern example is the Sex Scandal of the former president, Bill Clinton, which risks his eight year’s political leadership into shadow. During his presidency, he cancels the tariff wall and advocates free trade, which greatly ameliorated the trade condition. And what is more, he contributes a lot to the development internet by advocating the National Information Infrastructure, which greatly accelerated the development of internet. All these mentioned are of great importance both to our nation and society than the undesirable scandal.

Another respect that needs our attention is the credibility we should care of before making any judgments and avoid believing blindly. Because the use of scandal, as Machiavelli observed, is a dangerous game in that it sometime impair individual legitimate rights on which the democracy and liberty are based, thus, in turn, damage the entire society as well as our nation.

In conclusion, though the importance of scandals to either restrains these in power or business behavior should be emphasized, we still should not be confused by scandals and overlook the great contribution of celebrities. Moreover, we consider the authenticity of it in order to guarantee no people or entities is hurt.
