How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.

Issue Answer:

The author's opinion on the relation of socialization of children and future of society seems to be overemphasized, and the despair on nowadays children education was an hasty and irrational conclusion. In fact, socialization will not determine the whole, although maybe a large part, of one's influence on society, and we never give up the effort of raising better children for tomorrow.

In today's society, the ability of cooperate with others has been brought to an unparalleled high position. In any successful enterprise nowadays, no single task would be possibly complete by only one employee. Instead, a social person need to work with many other people to achieve any goal of his/her job. Thus, a well socialized child would adopt to the society better and faster than those unsocial ones.

However, this does not indicate an evaluation of children's socialization degree would fully determine the "destiny" of society, if this destiny would be ever determined by any human-perceivable factor. Firstly, the future of human society is under the influence of countless complex aspects, therefore an assertion of a single factor would convict the world to a deterministic end would be ridiculous. If the socialization status of youth would place such a hard effect on tomorrow, those great prophets in history would first be specialists on children psychology. And secondly, even the socialization of children would direct the society much, it wouldn't function all by itself. The fitness of youth towards his/her environment would need to be supported by many other qualities, like wisdom, diligence, curious and so on to build an influencing person. A child who is lack for these abilities but socialization can hardly be expected for any success.

The despair raised on the latter half of this assertion seems to be incomprehensible. Humans had never stopped the research of breed better youth, and were continuously realize these theories into practice. In eras from ancient Greek until contemporary times, we never failed to bring up the right child for the right time. To prove this, one could look back into history and will find that our world is always advancing towards a better tomorrow, although some temporarily may occur. One could never find in the past time, say, 500 years that human society is continuously dropping back. If human managed to raise children that WILL bring a bright future from the very beginning of history, how would any doubt be placed on this ability of today's people, while we have achieved an unparalleled height on both social development and children education? It is our parents that raised us for the building of today's speedy advancing society, the wide-spreading Internet, the ever-fast aircraft, and the spaceship launched toward Mars. If our parents could discard those worries of whether their children could bring a brighter society, it is us that are granted with the unquestionable confidence that we will educate our children even better.

In conclusion, the socialization of a children would not determine tomorrow's society alone, and in fact no single factor would do. Also, as humans never failed to raise children to build a better society, and as we have met the best decades throughout the time, it's unnecessary to be skeptical for whether we're able to bring the right children up for a better tomorrow.(547 words)
