The speaker asserts that government should preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state, even though these areas are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people. I cannot agree more. Publicly owned wilderness areas are necessary for human beings and animals. But at present, some wilderness is destroyed badly and this phenomenon could call our attention to preserve publicly owned wilderness areas.

Wilderness areas refer to the place extremely remote and accessible to only a few people, as the result, wilderness areas are undeveloped and they always keep down the original style and features. It is essential that a few areas of publicly owned wilderness be kept in their natural state. In such protected areas, plants and animals can live freely without fear that they will be killed. Nature has the ability to maintain balance; without human interference, the web of life will take good care of itself. As for the importance of the wilderness areas, we should place enough emphasis on protecting they, not only for protecting wilderness areas, but also for protecting the enviornment human beings live in. Based on the subject about progress and development, human beings have sacrificed nature enviornment to satisfy their needs for living and culture. It is still not too late to realize the responsibility to preserve publicly owned wilderness areas, especially for government.

At the same time, this has a significant meaning for researchers of biology and ecology. Researchers are likely to continue to seek the answers of the origination and evolution of life. As it knowed to all that wilderness areas are extremely remote and accessible to only a few people. Therefore, that wilderness areas relatively reserve the original style and features do a favor to researchers involved of biology and ecology. We could benefit a lot to the research and get to know the world much better.

However, the situation is not as good as we think. The wilderness areas are badly destroyed. Industrialization decreases the areas of wilderness. It is time to call our government’s attention to support the protection of wilderness and prevent the behavior of breakage. In fact, some scientists and concerned organizations have long conducted such preservation efforts on their own. However, without the support of local government, the success of these efforts would be very uncertain and significant progress would be made very difficult.

While emphasizing the importance of a government’s public propaganda, I insist that relevant laws against environment desruction should be enacted. Lacking of strong and powerful rules to protect the wilderness would result in an uneffected and abjective answer. Unless rules to be made, people cannot be self-conscious to be born protectors.

In sum, government should perserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state as soon as possible. What’s more, government should take actions to regulate the behavior of the people who are the potential protectors of the wilderness. We should try our best to preserve wilderness areas and maintain balance between human beings and the wilderness as possible as we can.
