Issue 4 "No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study."

WORDS:520  TIME:50 min DATE:16/02/2008

Nowadays, more and more subjects mix together, which may bring out new subjects. Therefore, I agree with that one field of study is more likely to advance greatly when other field's knowledge and experience enter, though I admit there are still some expectations.

To begin with, other areas of knowledge can give hints to the study of one area and trigger new development. To illustrate, I'll take the research of mapping as an example. Before 1970s, most maps were drawn according to the collected data and photographs, which not only required large amount of labours and money, but also cost a lot of time. Finally, the result still could not be called explicit. At this crucial moment, the science of mapping encountered a puzzledom and was hardly to move on. However, one researcher once worked in NASA joined an mapping program, whose aim was to draw out the map of Arctic Ocean. He suggested to use space photograph to collect data, rather than research on the real pole area. It followed that  the innovative idea was widely accepted and later a new subject named GIS was instituted. What change the destiny of mapping was nothing more than the enter of space science. As a result, if outsides bring their knowledge and experience to one field of study, that field is more likely to get a great progress in the near future.

Nevertheless, not all subjects can be the lucky dogs and no subject can always encounter the opportunity of the introduction of other ones. In most cases, the researchers of one field have to try best efforts to solve problems and overcome difficulties just by themselves. For an example, Gorpenicous founded the heliocentric theory all by the watching and thinking within the science of astronomy, instead of relying on other subjects. The similar situation happens when we consider that Newton founded universal gravitation, Einstein instituted principle of relativity, and Stackhouse set up WWW Internet, which are all significant advances. Therefore, the author of this topic seems easy to get an hasty conclusion, since his totally denies the possibility of independent development of subjects.

What's more, it is necessary for researchers of one field to call for other feilds' experts to join while they spare no efforts to independently achieve advance. There are two different way to reach the same destination - progress in one subject: one is to solve all problems though the inside powers; the other is to rely on the new ideas and uncommon methods of other knowledge areas. Here I make a either-or fallacy, in fact, there indeed exits another way -  to seek the balance of the former two ways. Only in this way can the study of one field step into a stable and lasting development mode, for we can just encounter opportunities, rather than meet them at any willing time.

In sum, although I agree that one field of study is more likely to advance greatly when other field's knowledge and experience enter, the author should not deny the possibility of independent development. Actually, the best way is to find a balance between them.

Nowadays, more and more subjects mix together, which may bring out new subjects. Therefore, I agree withwith应去掉 that one field of study is more likely to advance greatly when other field's knowledge and experience enter, though I admit there are still some expectations.

To begin with, other areas of knowledge can give hints to the study of one area and trigger new development. To illustrate, I'll take the research of mapping as an example. What change the destiny of mapping was nothing more than the enter of space science. 例子不错,但后面的As a result跟前面的例子连接生硬,最好把后面的As a result换掉 As a result, if outsidesoutsiders bring their knowledge and experience to one field of study, that field is more likely to get a great progress in the near future.
Nevertheless, not all subjects can be the lucky dogs and no subject can always encounter the opportunity of the introduction of other ones. For an example, GorpenicousCopernicus founded the heliocentric theory all by the watching and thinking within the science of astronomy, instead of relying on other subjects. The similar situation happens when we consider that Newton founded universal gravitation, Einstein instituted principle of relativity, and Stackhouse set up WWW Internet作者是EE还是CS?偶是EE的,可惜没记得谁发明万维网的,不过排比句式不错, which are all significant advances. Therefore, the author of this topic seems easy to get an hasty conclusion, since his totally denies the possibility of independent development of subjects.

What's more, it is necessary for researchers of one field to call for other feilds' experts to join join啥?这里 起码要写个research吧 while they spare no efforts to independently achieve advance. There are two different way to reach the same destination - progress in one subject: one is to solve all problems thoughthrough the inside powers; the other is to rely on the new ideas and uncommon methods of other knowledge areas. Here I make a either-or fallacy, in fact, there indeed exits another way -  to seek the balance of the former two ways.[I的出现又被自己否定,不好,实际上直接说there actually exists第三种研究方式即可 Only in this way can the study of one field step into a stable and lasting development mode, for we can just encounter opportunities, rather than meet them at any willing time.

In sum, although I agree that one field of study is more likely to advance greatly when other field's knowledge and experience enter, the author should not deny the possibility of independent development. Actually, the best way is to find a balance between them.

Nowadays, more and more subjects mix together, which not only contribute to the development of subjects but also even bring out new subjects. Althoug I agree that one field of study is more likely to advance greatly when other field's knowledge and experience enter, I have to admit some subjects achieve progress independently .The best way is to seek a balance between the relying on other subjects and independent development.

What change the destiny of mapping was nothing more than the help of space science.  例子不错,但后面的As a result跟前面的例子连接生硬,最好把后面的As a result换掉 Juding from the typical example, we can safely concluded that if outsidesoutsiders bring their knowledge and experience to one field of study, that field is more likely to get a great progress in the near future.

Nevertheless, not all subjects can be the lucky dogs and no subject can always encounter the opportunity of the introduction of other ones. In most cases, the researchers of one field have to try best efforts to solve problems and overcome difficulties just by themselves.

可能是我第四段的分论点t is necessary for researchers of one field to call for other feilds' experts to join the researches of their subjects while they spare no efforts to independently achieve advance.

Nowadays, more and more subjects mix together, which may bring out new subjects.(怎么还没说什么就theregfore了? Therefore, I agree with that one field of study is more likely to advance greatly when other field's knowledge and experience enter, though I admit there are still some expectations.

To begin with, other areas of knowledge can give hints to the study of one area and trigger new development. To illustrate,(两个句式这么象还放在一起) I'll take the research of mapping as an example. Before 1970s, most maps were drawn according to the collected data and photographs, which not only required large amount of labours and money, but also cost a lot of time. Finally, the result still could not be called explicit. At this crucial moment, the science of mapping encountered a puzzledom and was hardly to move on. However, one researcher once worked in NASA joined an mapping program, whose aim was to(这句话给人感觉有点别扭 可以换种方法说 个人建议 请考虑下) draw out the map of Arctic Ocean. He suggested to use space photograph to collect data, rather than research on the real pole area. It followed that  the innovative idea was widely accepted and later a new subject named GIS was instituted. What change the destiny of mapping was nothing more than the enter of space science. As a result,(什么 as a resoult? 短语 不可以乱用哦~~) if outsides bring their knowledge and experience to one field of study, that field is more likely to get a great progress in the near future.(正)

Therefore, the author of this topic seems easy to get an hasty conclusion, since his totally denies the possibility of independent development of subjects.(反的说的太多会给老外一种印象你的逻辑很混乱 所以反面是要说的 但是不要用太多的篇幅 少量笔墨带过就可以了 就象你说我的一样 你觉得我反面的支持不够 但是如果我多写反面的话我就不是同意 而是中立了 首段我就说过我是同意笔者观点的 而你首段的观点着重是同意 所以你如果要这样写的话可以考虑更改下第一段的说法)

Here I make a either-or fallacy, in fact, there indeed exits another way -  to seek the balance of the former two ways.(这个句子太饶了 估计老外看了也要汗了~) Only in this way can the study of one field step into a stable and lasting development mode, for we can just encounter opportunities, rather than meet them at any willing time. (最好不要用绝对的 only in this way 这种短语)

In sum, although I agree that one field of study is more likely to advance greatly when other field's knowledge and experience enter, the author should not deny the possibility of independent development. Actually, the best way is to find a balance between them.
