Someone prefer having others make decisions for them, while others prefer making decisions for themselves, what is your opinion?

Some people like to make decisions by their friends for their more comprehensive consideration, while others prefer making decisions by themselves for their strong confidence. As to me, I would definitely agree to the latter one and the there are a couple of reasons.

The most important reason for inclination to self-decision is that making decision by ourselves is more proper. As we all know, we are the people who understand ourselves more deeply than others. We know our own virtues and shortcomings more comprehensively. Even the most close friends would not likely to understand us fully. So according to be aware of our true situation, the decisions made by ourselves are more suitable and realistic. Take myself as an example. When I graduate from the university, my friends and parents suggested me to work. However, due to the strong passion towards knowledge, I chose to further my study. Now I would be truly proud of this decision not only in the enrichment of my knowledge, but also in the more opportunities towards job hunting. Hence, making decision by ourselves is more proper.

What's more, there are also two merits of self-decision. On one hand, good decisions made by ourselves would increase our confidence greatly. When the decisions are proved to be optimum, we would feel proud of ourselves and become more confident. On the other hand, even the self-decisions are proved to be inappropriate, we don't need to feel regretful towards them for that we made the decisions ourselves. However, if the decisions are made by the help of our friends, once the results are proved to be terrible, it is highly likely that we would blame for our friends for such bad decisions. Therefore, it is wise to make decisions by ourselves.

In a sum, it is wise to make decision by ourselves. For one thing, due to the deep understanding of ourselves, self-decisions would be undoubtedly more proper and realistic. For the other, good self-decisions would increase our confidence either.
