143. Some people believe that students should be given one long vacation each year. Others believe that students should have several short vacations throughout the year. Which viewpoint do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.

When it comes to the vacations after a continuous process of learning, different schools have diverse schedules: some prefer one long vacation each year while others suggest several short vacations in one year is effective. As far as I am concerned, the latter vocation plan is more available.

It is true that having one long vacation every year has some advantages especially to the students who love to travel some places far away. For instance, if some students want to travel from China to Europe, it is rather disappointing that they have to take a hasty glance of some countries due to a short period of vocation. In contrast, a long period of vocation is likely to contribute the wonderful trip with a large amount of unforgettable moments carving in their memory.

However, considering the main tasks of students is gaining knowledge from school, short vacations every year will benefit students' learning in many aspects. One substantial merit of this schedule is it will stimulate the interest of learning. It is widely believed that most of the students cannot stand a long period of tight schedule without any rest. The vacation plan including several short vacations once a year provides precious intervals to release the tension or pressure after a certain period of study. Moreover, students will have a stable time to review the lessons learned systematically if this schedule is carried out.

Another important advantage of the plan in regard of short vacations each year is students are likely to pick up knowledge studied before the vacations easily after taking short vacations rather than one long vacation every year. As we tend to remember the matter happened few days ago rather than several months ago, students are much likely to remember the knowledge taken a short period of time instead of long period .

Considering the discussion above, though one long period vacation has some advantages in few cases, it is more beneficial for most of the students considering effecient learning not only at home but also at school.

1。楼主的表语从句似乎都不用引导词，这样犯语法错误可不划算
2。楼主的be likely to do出现的太多了一点，刚刚修改的时候强烈感觉到

其次我想请教以上两位同学及其他网友 一个问题：
“从在家和在学校高效率的学习来考虑，一年多次休假对大多数学生有益”的翻译能写成一下这个句子吗：
The plan involving short vacations every year is more beneficial for most of the students considering effecient learning not only at home but also at school.（considering .......作后置定语）

楼主好像很喜欢用长句子哦 ，适当在其中穿插些短句子就更好了。
另外在论证上总感觉写短假好处的两段多加些例子辅证会更完善。：）
