  I admit that the socialization of children can determine the destiny of society, since children will determine the society by obtain their social positions after their growth, and they cannot realize their function if they can be adapted to the society well. However, the statement that we have not yet learned how to raise children who can bring a better society is too extreme and unwarranted in my experience, because we have already built mature education system, as well as children can make themselves reliable enough during the work in society.

  Fundamentally, socialization is an important progress for children to step into society. The way they work, study and communicate with each other will be absolutely different from what they experience in schools. They have to earn money, live and arrange life schedules by themselves. During school life, children learn knowledge, while during social life, they will put those knowledge into use. They will find the reality different from what is learned in textbooks, always more complex, and hard to analyze. Meanwhile, they will face people diversified from classmates and teachers, under the condition of working and researching. A more detailed and accurate cooperation is required, so as to deal with particular issues. Only after being socialized, children can obtain such abilities to overcome new challenges. A student major in architecture, for example, only has to consider about functional and aesthetic elements, facing teachers during his designing homework. But after stepping into society, he will face different social members, including businessmen, government officials and so forth, with diversified thoughts. Moreover, his design works will be realized, forcing him to consider more questions, which are more complicated than those in school. In that sense, it seems to me only after children have been socialized, they can truly devote to the society with high-quality work, or they will found themselves operating in a vacuum.

  Fortunately, the truth tells us the children can be well socialized in most situations. The modern education system and human's inborn ability to acclimate environment help us to raise children who can devote to social development and bring a better one.

  During the school life, children will learn to cooperate with others. Although different from the situation after they enter society, such cooperation can bring them abilities and attitudes to dispense work, communicate and take charge. Those qualities will be useful for their coming social life. And they will also learn commonsense, as well as expertise, by doing researches and other projects, which can be provided by most universities and colleges. All of these will build a substantial basis for children's socialization.

  Additionally, all creatures have the ability to acclimate environment, especially human beings. People will finally face the society and live in it, as long as they are not abnormal. Every member of the society will devote to its development during his work, not matter what vocation he is in, and he must obtain such a position in the society, if he wants to live his life. As a result, the ability to acclimate plays role. Most people will soon learn the difference between social and school life, after working in the society for a short time. Therefore--making the education system consistent to social vocational life. After the progress of such growth, children will finally become qualified social members who can bring about a better society.

  Although certain problems may take place in the progress mentioned above, and not all the children can be raised so smoothly, our society is still developing with its steady steps, despite wars, crimes and calamities are taking place everyday. Children are the future, and I believe with the development brought by predecessors, they will come a long way toward bringing a bright, peaceful and good society.
