2.    历史的作用还可以使我们避免反以往的错误
3.    历史对于国家策略等有作用
4.    历史即使与日常生活无关，也是有用的

TOPIC: ISSUE103 - "The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives."

As living in the fast psychologically and technologically changing society, the effects of history seems becoming vaguer and vaguer than before if it is not relevant to our daily lives. However, the subtle and huge influence of history would never wane whether it is relevant to our daily lives.

Admittedly, we do benefit much from studying history relevant our daily lives. We can learn from our forefathers' successes and failures, and apply to our daily lives. All of these are the great treasures people before me left to us. For instance, the thousands of old sayings are the great guidance of our daily lives. By studying this kind of history, we can avoid failures we may encounter if we learn from the same mistake that people before me committed in the past. History is mirror, which is not only reflecting the past but also now and even cast the future.

Studying history can do much for the psychological effects of finding our identity in this changing society.  As the great French artist Paul Gauguin illustrated in his monumental works" Where do we come from? Where are we? Where are we going?", the searching for our identity is our long natural pursuit. Studying our forefathers' daily lives, economic events and their cultures is meanwhile the process of our searching answers to these eternal questions. Even if some of these studies ostensibly have little with our daily lives, we cannot overlook the importance of them. Without these studies, maybe our society would develop as fast as before, but the world would be gradually losing their characters and the society would be bogging down the psychological chaos.

Moving to the deeper thesis, the great functions of studying history does not exist in our daily lives, but also lies in the issues of our whole society and nation. The foundation of strategies of a company or even a nation can refer to the history to large extent. For example, the great ancient Sun Tzu's book “the Art of Wars" is one of the best references of war commanders and even managers of companies.

In sum, studying history can benefit us more than daily lives, but also in psychological identity and wider use for the whole society and nation.

实在写到这里就不行了，我的历史知识近乎为零，根本想不出什么例子，唉....
还是第一次写不下去，惭愧啊~~~
