The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society’s ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people.

2.       但是人的外貌不能完全反映人的内心。有人的穿着不透漏自己的职业身份。比如一些老板喜欢穿很休闲上班，很有钱的人穿得很朴素。有些教师也留长发。另外制服使人们很难穿戴有个性。学校里，医院里，公司里。
3.       价值观是指人们对周围事物的看法和评价。这和个人生长的环境，人生经历和受教育程度相关。个人的外表决不能反映出社会思想和价值观。比如有的人认为家庭在生活中最重要，而另一些人以事业为重。有些罪犯为了一些微不足道的事情杀人，在他们心中，这些被杀的人的生命并不占很重要的地位，而自己的感受最重要。他们通常没有健康的价值观。而有良好价值观的人通常会有较强的责任感，对个人身份和荣誉注重。这都是不能通过外表来判断的。


I concede that people’s attitudes and interests can be reflected by the way they look and act in some extent, nevertheless, I woule not agree with the assertion that the appearance and behavior of people reveals the society’s ideas and values.

Generally speaking, the way people look, dress, and act can tell us some information about their characters and interest. People who have sharp eyelight are ususally serious man while people who have gentle eyes are always warm-harted. A group members who engage in same career always pose the same taste of clothes. For example, teachers prefer to wear traditional dress which make them easily accepted by masses. On contrary, actors like to dress on fashion; they always look llike shinging and abnormal. Furthermore, the way people act could indicate their characters as well. Well-educated people act polite and graceful who use sorry, thanks and please more often. Some certain careers require someone act faster than normal, take firemen and doctors for example, for their intensity work of saving others’ lives.

However, the appearance and behavior of people cannot indicate their inside completely In evaluating a man, we cannot just rely on his appearent but by more connecting with him. One important reason is that some people do not pay much attention on their appearance, so that we could not know their ideas and interests by observing the appearance. For instence, a man who is  always in T-shirt and jeans may be a boss of a huge company and his emplyees prefer to wear suits in good fashion. As I known, in the notable new-oriental English school, some teachers keep long haire like a yappie who are respected by a great many of students as well. Furthermore, another group of people do not have right to choose what to wear follow their own taste because the requierment of unify of their suits, such as students in school and doctors. In these cases, the same preference may not indicate the private interest and character.

Social value is defined as evaluatting and views about the surroundings where people live and is characterized by differ from case to case. It is determined by individual experience, how the people educated and the surroundings they grow up in, which is not easy for people to pursuit through the appearance. some people think family is the most important in life while career play a vital role in others’ lives. In the mind of a murder, he values his own feeling much important than other’s life, so he did the inresponsibility things to the society. People who hold health social values usually care about their honor and social position, thus repond strong responsibility to society. All in these cases, you can hardly tell much about a society’s ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people.

In sum, people’s act and dress can help others to get information about them in some extent. However, it is a far way to evaluating people’s society’s ideas and values by observation of there appearance.
