Teacher's ability to relate well with the students is more important than knowing the subject well.

1. 创造更好的上课氛围,提高效率
2. 学生更愿意&有动力去学
There is no denying that education has long been a big issue for the society. When it comes to what kind of teacher is more capable of improving students’ learning ability, people hold divergent views. Some contend that children’s achievement in their academic work correlates closely to the cooperation between teachers and students while other maintain that a teacher’s knowledge is more crucial. As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the former idea.
To begin with, a teacher who can relate well with the students can often create a good atmosphere when having lessons. Specifically, they can make great eye contact with the students in the classroom; When they explain knowledge they may use vivid language accompanying expressive gestures. I still have a deep impression of the chemistry teacher, Jill, from my high school. When we are on the organic chemistry part, most of us have difficulty imaging the double bond in organic alkenes. Realizing this, Jill invited a student together with her to enact a molecule. They each held the hands of another. According to her explanation, the hands are just like the double bond; when the substance reacts, the hands open up indicating the break of the double bond. This interpretation allowed me to concretize an abstract idea and helped me to gain an insight of organic chemistry later on.
Furthermore, a teacher as a good collaborator with students can always provide motivation to them on their school work. These teachers usually have a high command of rewards and disciplinary sanctions. For instance, once a student makes progress on his studies, the teacher may praise him appropriately; also, he may reward those students who make the greatest achievement at the end of semester. All the encouraging remarks and prizes form a potential incentive for students, making them to strive and to lean better.
To sum up, I strongly believe that it is vital for a teacher to work hand in hand with the students. Since study is a two-way process during which the cooperation is particularly significant.
