First, the arguer fails to provide statistically reliable assurances on the survey. The Whirlwind assumes that people between 10 and 25 are most likely to play video games. So the advertice are direct to these people. But the survey is not direct to these people. So it can not get the conclusion that people between 10 and 25 fit the characters of the survey. Whereas the Whirlwind’s advertise to these people so it may not have the anticipative result. Moreover only these people may not enough to support the market.
Secondly, though lifelike graphics is the most important factor about a game, a popular game requires several other characters. The types,topic,price and details are all important parts of a game. The player may not buy a game only lifelike graphics but on other advantages. Moreover a popular game must fit to the computers which are most popular in the players. Even a game a very lifelike graphics but the computer it required are not affordable for most people this game will not sell well.
Thirdly, even though the advertice succeed in attract people between 10 and 25. Maybe they are no the main part of consumer. People between 10 and 25 are mostly students not all of them have enough spare money to buy the games. The survey does not provide evidence that people of this age is the main people who buy the game.
In sum, only according to the survey and the advertice between 10 and 25, Whirlwind can not get a conclusion that the sales of its video games are likely to increase dramatically in the next few months. Maybe because of the reasons mentioned as above and some other unknown factors the sales will still decline.
