The way people look, dress, and act reveals their attitudes and interests. You can tell much about a society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people.

When we see young people who wear strange and colorful clothes, we know that they are running after the fashion streams and interests in them. And the society which they in is full of freedom. It is certainly that, sometimes, we can know the attitudes and interests from the way people look, dress, and act. And we can further know the society's ideas and values by observing the appearance and behavior of its people. However, I do not consider that will happen every time and everywhere.

From the appearance of the people, we can know the society's ideas and values. By comparing four countries citizens' appearance can give a clear view on it. Americans, who often wear particular dresses that can display their personalities and difference among others, show the characteristics of chasing freedom and individual. Chinese, who often dress uniforms especially in special days show us the society's features-conservative and unification. Similar countries as China is Japan, whose citizens usually wear their conservative dresses-kimono-to celebrate their festivals, tell us the characteristics of conservation and tradition. Franc peoples' beautiful clothes displayed their romantic features, while Germans formal dresses show their stricter attitudes and ideas. All above-mentioned can prove that sometimes the appearance of the people can show their attitudes and interests, moreover, the society's ideas and values.

The behaviors acted by citizens can also express a countries ideas and values. First, let us take class-teaching in China and America for example. in America, teachers encourage students to think by themselves and give them more chances to ask and express themselves. The education there is focusing on the ability of practice by students. In China, classes focus on a teaching-learning system that is teachers is playing significant roles than students who nearly only need to listen to the teachers, write down important thing and have little chance to express themselves. The education there is focusing on the theory that students absorbed. Second, from the communication way we can also find the differences in society's features. American peoples' talking way just likes some forms of sports-such as badminton and volleyball. There is often only one topic in a talk in which Americans continually hitting back partners talks. This way of communication shows the spirit of suspect and challenge. On the contrary, the way Japanese talk is like the form of playing bowling that people will like hit back the former one's talks but begin another topic that causes there appear many topics in a talk. The way by which Japanese talk show their conservative and polite. Therefore, peoples' behavior can also express a society's ideas and values.

However, the way people look, dress may not reveals their and interests despite that they can express the society's ideas and values. The very example I can point out the appearance of some countries women, such as Iran and Palestine. In those countries, unmarried women should veil their face by veil or cloth and only expose their eyes. There is no evidence that can prove all those women like this way of dressing, some of them may have a strong desire to dress like American women freely. This way of wearing, in some aspects, shows the society's ideas and values that religion rules are the supreme rules and their believe. Therefore, there appearance, moreover, the behaviors of the people cannot exactly and truly reveals citizens attitudes and interests, especially in those are not democracy countries.

Moreover, by observing the appearance and behavior of its people to research a society's ideas and values just in a superficial degree that are not enough if we want to know deeper, truer and more about them, such as ethics and morality. We should research more aspects of a society and with the help of history for a society's ideas and values are deeply in every field and are complex to make a conclusion without further researches.

To sum up, the way people appear can mostly reveal their attitudes and interests, but not the case in non-democracy countries. And by observing the appearance and behavior of the people cannot simply reveal a society's ideas and values which need more researches despite they may sometime express.
