The speaker alleges that we have not yet learned how to raise children whose extent of socialization determines the destiny of society. I find this allegation to be specious. It wrongly suggests that children today have not been taught how to be socialized. To the contrary, in the school kinds of lessons, including morality, thinking, knowledge, habit and constitution, virtually help children become socialized enough to build a better society.

First of all, one of the main purposes of education people got in their childhood is to make students get sufficient preparative before enter into society, because how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. In their childhood, people are so young that they are easy to receive knowledge and moral. As this reason, accepting a good education in the school, people will have a active habit and a correct conception to the individual and the whole society on the aspect of moral, and have abundant technique on the aspect of knowledge, which can help they become more socialized to bring about a better society.

In the second place, obviously education, which brings a great deal of excellent people with ability, plays an important part in social development and advancement in recent years. Without accepting years of education, people do not have correct moral and habit which supports to social development in the spiritual aspect, nor have abundant knowledge which accelerates social construct in the technical aspect. In the result of it, there are no person with high diathesis building our society, which leads to a series of social problems, such as economic backslide, famine, high criminal rate and so on.

But we have to realize that acknowledging education does not mean that these excellent conception and technique are whole and well accepted by children. There are still much insufficiencies in education, such as study by rote, fulsome pressure of competition, violent affair in school and otherwise. For example, Cho Seung-Hui, a Korean twenty three year-old withdrawn student in the University of Virginia, killed 32 students in his school and then murder himself whose motivation is envy to wealthy. Unfortunately, after investigated clearly this tragedy ascribes that his teachers and classmates did not help him correct this false mind. So we can find some insufficiencies from current education.

In sum, the current education must consider to be assured that children do not only master abundant knowledge, but also get ready to face kinds of problems in society with as well mentality as possible. This word is pretty good for children growing, while much better for social stability. So I disagree with the author's idea that we have not ye learned how to raise children to bring about a better society, despite the current education should still be improved.
