Do you agree or disagree: Most people prefer others making decision for them than making a decision for themselves.

Do people want to live in a life which is planed by others? I guess that nobody would like to get their lives like that way. So when it comes to the issue that whether or not most people prefer others making decision for them than making a decision for themselves, I believe that it is better that people are independent to make decisions for themselves not by others.

It should be admitted that maybe some people, such as your parents, can plan an ideal life which is not short of food and money. In this life, what you should do is just to follow the orders from your parents and never make your own decisions. Perhaps, you can possess great sums of money and marry a beautiful girl who also arranged by your parents. From others' point of view, you are rich and enjoy your life. However, you lost yourself.

No one can deny that independence is the basic requirement of adults who want to be the master of life and the first step to be independent is to make decisions. In fact, there are a great many decisions in our daily life which are needed to be made on our own, such as marriage, career. For example, you are in the relationships with two girls and then there is an important decision for you to make. You cannot depend on others' opinions or are determined by others including your parents because the marriage exerts an essential influence on one person's life. Besides, only you can be aware of real yourself and thus make the right choice. It is the same situation for people to choose a right career. So, it is unavoidable for people to make decisions by themselves.

Moreover, making decision can provide you confidence and motive to pursue a better life. For instance, imagine that you decide to go aboard for further study and you become a graduate student in your dream school eventually, which definitely improve your self-confidence and change your life. Hence, making decision by yourself is just like controlling your fate on your own hands.

In conclusion, nobody can avoid making decisions in their lives and people cannot be independent without making decision by themselves.
